So I want to pre order The Division just to try out the beta.
I heard pre ordering is free but I'm still confused. Can someone please explain?
EDIT: How long does the Division beta last for?
EDIT: I got a code but it won't let me even put it in once I sign in. It says that I may not access this content at this time and also says in 4/4 steps down with the beta access process

1 ReplyBasically you're being told correctly. I preorder from Amazon often, am never charged until the game ships, you can cancel they preorder anytime up to the day before shipping/day of if you cancel first thing that morning, and you're good. For the division you'll get your beta code, most likely within an hour, from paving the preorder, and now if you have Amazon prime the preorder price of games is discounted 20%, any edition.

6 RepliesEdited by ABeardedViking: 1/25/2016 11:52:54 PMThey don't charge your credit card to the game ships. You have 30 days prior to the game ships to cancel your order. As soon as you complete the order they send you a confirmation email for the order and then they send you a promo code for the beta. Once you enter the promo code on the u play site ( you need u play account) you have your spot for the beta. Beta codes are rumored to be emailed to the email associated with the u-play account 24 to 48 hrs before the start of the beta. Beta is 28- 31st for Xbox and 29-31st PC- PS4

They don't charge you for the game until it actually ships. So you can pre order, try out the beta, and if you like the game then keep it, if not then just cancel your pre order.

I don't think you pay on Amazon until it ships, and you can cancel your order. Not 100% on the first part though
