Twilight Garrison is impossible to get
Why is the twilight garrison seemingly impossible to get?
Over the past two days I've used 190 strange coins to purchase 10 chest engrams for Xur. And not a single garrison has dropped for me!
"We fixed the loot system making it more likely you get a drop you don't already have"
My ass.
Bungie I love this game, but this I ridiculous.
Edit: Just bought 5 more engrams after farming 95 strange coins from scratch. All crests of alpha Lupi. That's it I give up. Never gonna get it.
Edit: For the people that are asking how I farmed those coins. Primarily through Prison of Elders lvl. 28. Usually gives me 4-6 coins for each run.

Took 2 engrams each to get it on both PS4 and Xbone. I was disappointed by it until I realized you can activate it twice in the air. Not game-changing but still pretty fun. Actually did help during oryx. As I was torn and jumping up to the invisible platforms, the person on plate 1 bumped into me and knocked me off course(which always annoys the crap out of me). Luckily I was wearing TG and I was able to get back on track midair.

1 ReplySounds like my quest for the New Monarchy Comitatus ship. I'm pretty sure I've leveled NM from 18 to 43 during TTK, and can't get that damn ship to drop.

Just unlucky. Got it from 7th engram I think. I have loads of exo engrams in the vault when they gonna release new exo (if they will FINALLY DECIDE TO DROP THEM).

Maybe I'm lucky but I got the last 3 worthwhile exotics I needed from the game in the past 3 weeks. Tarantella off an engram from the shade, Twilight from the lighthouse last week and Supercell from the light house last night. Now all I need is the Mk. 44s. Not wasting my strange coins in those tho lol

For every person like you (AND ME) that spends way too many coins and gets nothing but alpha lupi, theres someone else that gets it in 2 days via 3oC. And then those people feel the need to brag about rng? Why? Only one reason, to piss off everyone who's still grinding, because there is absolutely ZERO skill in what you're bragging about. The people who brag about rng are the SAME people who bitch about "earning vs xurning", one more dumbass thing that does nothing but divide...

1 ReplyI bought 8 engrams and received 0 Twilight Garrisons. It is the last chest piece I am missing. After hours of grinding PoE and being rewarded crap, I think it's time to take a holiday from Destiny.

5 RepliesI feel pity for your suffering, but I do not feel pity for your plight especially since the loot system has been changed in an unknowable way. Titans have 3 Exotic Chests: Crest of Alpha Lupi, Armamentarium, and Twilight Garrison. If you don't have any of these, you have a 100% of getting one of them. Once you get that one, statistically you have a 50% chance of getting one of the ones you don't have. Assuming that Bungie is right and these numbers have been tweaked so that you are more likely to get one you don't have, you should theoretically have a 67% chance (maximum) of getting one of the ones you don't have. This, however, created a flaw as once you get that 2nd Exotic chest, there is now a 67% chance that you won't get the piece you're missing. Again, assuming that the odds of getting a piece you don't already have is increased, it won't exceed 40%. The odds still favor you getting a piece you already have. That's the issue with RNG as a whole since it needs specific numbers to use as a reference and then kick out a result of that RNG roll. My advice is going to sound dumb, but try it out and see if it helps (I did this and got Crest of Alpha Lupi, Twilight Garrison, Heart of Praxis Fire, and ATS/8 Tarantella in a row after buying 4 Engrams from Xur). 1. Don't buy Engrams on the character you intend to open them on. 2. Transfer the Engrams to the character who needs the exotic (players believe this influences the chance of getting an exotic for that class). 3. Identify up to 2 engrams. If they aren't what you want, Log out of the character, then log back in. 4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you get all the exotics you're after or until you run out of engrams. Hope this helps. Sorry that RNGesus spites you like he does for the rest of us.

After pulling together 19 coins last night through factions on 3 characters, I went to buy my last chest engram. From there I went to the reef to decrypt it. 290 Twilight Garrison. Forgot to equip my gear to get above 310 before decrypting but whatever I'll take it

Try turning them in at reef and got mine 1st shot. I also got ats there.
