Why do you like/dislike smoking/smokers?
So for the past few days I've seen a few threads that cover smoking in one way or another. I want your opinion on the subject.

3 RepliesPeople may do whatever they like, as long as they don't try to argue to convert me to change myself to suit them. Frankly I don't mind if people smoke around me. I don't smoke, but I'm used to it. I've known too many people that smoke to care, and I know that there are thousands of things I'm likely to get cancer from anyway. Processed meat, my cell phone, artificial sweeteners, food dyes, carbonized (slightly charred) food, gasoline fumes, and sunlight can give me cancer. Second hand smoke, doesn't bother me.

Do what you want but when your nasty habit pulls you away from conversation, from dinner tables, or more xbox related "I'll be back in 5 I need to smoke"...I mean wtf I guess the rest of us will just twiddle our thumbs then while we wait for YOU.. . And it makes everything stink.

I do not care for people smoking in my home or car because it makes my stuff stink. Vamping is fine. So is taking it outside. Hell, I'll even join you outside, though I won't smoke myself.

I used to smoke a couple of cigarettes a day but I had this roommate who used to smoke like 3 packs everyday. Everything in the apartment used to smell like ashtray. That eventually made me quit. I sometimes enjoy a smoke when I'm having a beer but it's pretty rare when I actually do it.q

1 ReplyI generally dislike smokers, yet I believe having parents who were addicted to cigarettes help me. Seeing how hard it was for them to quit was a good way for me to learn how bad they are.

I hate the people that smoke a pack every couple days. They always reek of cigarettes, their breath is terrible, yellow teeth and their home always has a faint odor of cigarettes

I haven't seen these threads but the main reason if people are complaining would hopefully just be that it's wrong to subject children and other humans, even pets, the the harmful results of smoking through second hand. Thats my opinion anyways.

1 ReplyI like the effects of nicotine. It's convenient to buy cigarettes, though I do miss growing my own. Smoking tobacco isn't all that harmful.
