So I just played crucible with Thorn for the first time...
I was grandfathered into the Thorn bounty at the end of y1 and never used Thorn at all, it just sat in my vault until now. I took it out and upgraded the nodes and took it into a crucible map.
It felt particularly easy to get kills, I came in 2nd to a match that had already started.
Also the era of Exotic Hand Cannons is back:
Out of 12 people in the rift match:
3 had Thorns (including myself and top player on winning team)
2 had The Last Word
The leader on the losing team had The First Curse
Also for the record one of the people who did not have a hand cannon, had a green [armory]Shingen-C[/armory] auto-rifle. Respect.

1 ReplyIt's not as used or powerful anymore though. While fun, there are better exotics to use. Although, we have a 320 that we trials with all the time, and he will use thorn or icebreaker and still wreck. It's disgustingly awesome to watch.

Thorn was way worse in year 1. Just bug out when everything goes green if you can't get good groups of headshots (like with every other hand cannon you come up against).

Been using thorn in PVP all week forgot how much fun it is. Was thinking of dusting off the vex for next week.

2 RepliesDude ive been killed by it like once in four months. Meanwhile i cant play one game without the last word or mida. Last word is the only gun ppl ever use in rumble ir any three v three game. It still beat my pulse rifle yesterday. The amount of damage it does at the fire rate it has is ridiculous. Ppl that complain about thorn honestly suck or u haven't played enough at all.
