Hand cannon disappointment
Got the pre-release, quit before wolves came out and came back to ttk. I am a precision shooter and only really use hand cannons and scout rifles. I've been stat crunching, perk rolling and play testing hand cannons for the last 2 months, what has bungee done?! Hand cannons are almost obsolete now. I used to love my hawk moon and fatebringer, fate and thorn are gone, and hawk got it's awesome range nerfed. I'm almost to first curse, but the reviews are crushing my excitement. The raid cannon was lack luster. I haven't found a hand cannon that can't be replaced with a scout rifle yet. Does anyone disagree with me? If so give me an avenue to try. I don't want to give up on hand cannons, but so far so disappointed.

Eyasluna is what you need. First curse is really good if you play to its strengths. I have a handful of really well rolled legandary HCs. Also ace of spades is extremely well balanced if your a hunter

First curse is still pretty decent, especially if you get the first curse rolling. A properly rolled eyasluna feels like a year 1 hand cannon, if that's what your looking for

Just get the ace of spades, 3 shots if you chain 2 headshots, decent in PvP, but i havn't even upgraded yet, can't wait to have firefly ... Plus, the range is pretty good with the dedicated perk I'm not à handgun player at all, either on PvP or pve, the only HC i really played was fatebringer, but i found the ace of spades handy, you should try it (if you havn't already)

I've had a lot of fun and success with Finnalas Peril (IB).... In PvP at least. 10 round mag, smallbore and third eye w enhanced tracking... Give it a try if u can get your hands on one

Eyasluna. With even a mediocre roll, it kicks ass.

1 ReplyMy top 3 hand cannons to use are 1. Finnala's Peril (iron banner) 2. Water Star (ToO) 3. Ace of Spades (hunter exotic) Those 3 are incredibly fun to use. Handles smoothly aswell.

In pve I hate that I run outta ammo all the time, who the -blam!- thought that was a good idea for a nerf? Why should 1 gun type have to risk being useless bc they ran outta ammo...

You need to be at close range and not try to stand still and outshoot scout rifles like every other idiot does with them. They're very accurate. If you're not hitting your target, you're too far away or you're not aiming well. Stability is a huge factor now too. Follow up shots won't hit unless your sights are on the enemy. [i]But[/i], that doesn't stop anybody from whining. All of these complaints start with something like yours. You talk about how great you are and therefor it's the gun's fault you can't do well with it. Sorry, but it's you.

I haven't found one worth a damn with decent rolls. Ammo reserves are shit. Range is meh. They royally -blam!-ed weapons with 2.0

Ace of Spades is my new go to HC. Last year was Hawkmoon but they really did a number on the range. Still a great gun but Spades takes the cake.

I have a Imago loop Rangefinder Feather mag ( for quicker reloads) Mulligan (need every shot you can get) Its a monster in pvp and pve

I'm with you man I just think the reload speed is usually way to slow especially with the small mag size to really even make it competitive with scouts

The eyasluna on my Titan is fun. I'm not much of a hand cannon user but I really like this gun.

Hawkmoon still wrecks pve and sometimes pvp, yea it is no longer an equivalent of a sniper like all hand cannons were, but you are good with it, you can still kill stuff.
