Solution to 1,000 yard stare no nerfs
Give me back my ldr or long bow and I promise I will never touch a 1ks
Edit: This is not a post about how we can improve snipers. Just asking for my old snipers back. I don't mind if you add that though.

86 RepliesSolution for all snipers: Descope when taking fire. Less aim assist. No medium to close range scopes....Make it near impossible to shoot someone up close. It's a sniper not a shotgun. Ready and aim your sniper in a slower time frame. Slower the rate of fire. Body shots should not take you down to crit. Limit special ammo so you can't use a sniper the whole match. You are probably going to cry about this but what players don't realize is this is how snipers are in most fps. It actually takes skill to use snipers in many other games. It's so easy for snipers in Destiny its just absurd.

4 RepliesSnipers are not the problem, the variety of snipers for PvP is. There is one sniper that is truly great (1k), one that is good (Yasmin), Hereafter (which has terrible sights) and basically that's it. In Y1 we had LDR, Praedyth's Revenge, Efrideet's Spear, Longbow, the FWC one, Patience and Time, hell you could even use IceBreaker to some sucess. Also, an 1k with an usable roll is incredibly easy to acquire, so it's what most people use since Hereafter and Yasmin are kinda hard to get.

Snipers don't need any sort of nerf. What should happen is that special drops shouldn't be as common forcing people to use primary's.

1 ReplyIf only I could have my sweet longbow in Year 2. Not final round or anything... firefly, outlaw, snapshot, and spray and play. I still use that gun, that gun is the only gun I want right now. I actually used it in trials last weekend against some 295's and it brought back too many good memories... Also LDR double down short gaze snapshot and outlaw.. Those were my 2 guns. I'd give anything to have them back

7 RepliesBTW ALL YOU PEOPLE BITCHING ABOUT AIM ASSIST. AIM ASSIST DOES NOT MAKE YOU HIT INSANE SHOTS OR EVEN PULL YOUR SCOPE TO SOMEONES HEAD. IT SIMPLY SLOWS DOWN YOUR SCOPE WHEN IT COMES ACROSS ANOTHER PERSONS HEAD. WHAT YOU PEOPLE ARE CALLING AIM ASSIST IS THE HITBOX IN THE GAME AND THE SIZE OF THOSE SAID HITBOXES, THAT IS THE CAUSE OF PEOPLE LANDING STUPID SHOTS.
