New PS4, Same PSN ID, Destiny Characters Missing
Hey all, back in April I sold my PS4 along get with all the digital games to my buddy. I was heading to Iraq and Syria and needed to liquidate everything in case the worst happened, plus I needed the money. I did not sell my PSN account.
I returned in October and have been playing my nephews PS4. Using the same log in information, Destiny originally showed no available characters.
I've been meaning to contact Bungie for a resolution, I would like to play the Taken King with my old character but really doesn't sit well with me to lose all those hours, even if the gear is obsolete.
Please help, thank you

2 RepliesIf you sold your old PS4 and all digital games on it, then it is possible that your friend may have logged into destiny from your account and deleted your characters. No matter the cause, character restoration is not a service Bungie provides. https://www.bungie.net/en/help/article/12211

8 RepliesConfirmed with my friend that he did not delete or see ANY characters on the PS4 or copy of Destiny. He signed into his PSN upon receiving the PS4 and all the games were as if they had not been played. I understand, like many other online games, that Bungie won't help recover purposely deleted characters, but this is not my fault... The game saves data in a cloud, not on the hardware correct? If anyone else could offer some solutions, especially a Bungie employee, you will effectively convince me to purchase your product if that matters. It's hard to imagine losing a full 32 Titan with Ruin Wings and Gjallahorn, among others. Thank you to those who have posted so far

Can you see your characters on bungie when you log in on a computer? Can you log in to your ps4 account, has someone else registered a ps4 as primary one?
