Sniping takes no skill. Prove me wrong
So let's get this out of the way. I'm not salty nor am I calling for a nerf.
Okay since that's out of the way, sniping here takes no skill. You may (of course many of you) will say "it's totally skilled, jus adapt scrub!" Or try and bring up kd and of course I really won't give two shits.
Now I've noticed that snipers haven't been touched since day 1, yet there's now a problem with them now. Of course it was skillful compared to shotgunning *cough* I mean scrubgunning.
If you want to say sniping takes skill on here then you're delusional. It's simply point, aim, blap, then headshot. When compared to sniping in games where it factors in the bullet drop, leading your target, and zero in your scope.
That, ladies and scrubs takes skill if not a lot of skill. Of course I know many of you will disagree, say things that are not relevant to the topic, and of course try to rebuttal my statement.

Sniping... maybe not... Sniping well... yes. I'm sorry but Sniping on the run or jumping or targeting a split second after readying takes skill... headshots from 10 feet away takes skill. I can snipe... but definitely not like that.

5 RepliesBetween the lag, Shortgaze scope and Hidden Hand allowing snipers to seemingly headshot you after you're around the corner, I understand your frustration. Shortgaze scope and Hidden Hand make it way too easy. What can be done about it? Here's my two cents. Since shot package was removed from shotguns, there no reason for Hidden Hand and/or Shortgaze scope to be removed from the equipment pool. Sniping needs to be an all or none type of damage administration. The fact that body shots do an absurd amount of damage is ridiculous, it's rewarding you for bad accuracy. (If you do not possess the hand-eye coordination and mental depth perception to land headshots, sniping isn't for you.) After you've been body shotted the sniper pulls out his primary within nano seconds and hip fires his Last Word, thus ending you instantly, that pisses me off more than anything.

1 ReplyNot to mention games where you have to hold your breath for steady aim. You have to time this. Time it wrong and lining up a shot is difficult. In Destiny, a sniper can just aim down a pathway, still as a statute, forever. Even getting shot multiple times won't phase them or disrupt their aim. It's ridiculous. Then like you said, all they have to do is fire the second something moves across their crosshair, and boom, headshot.
