Hi, new to Destiny but just reached lvl 25 after completing the main story. As I have hit lvl 25 should I do Taken King before Dark Below and House of Wolves? Is there a best order to play them in? If I hit level 40 before the Taken King would it make it to easy?
As I say still new to Destiny and it's all rather over whelming for a noob. Any help appreciated.
Cheers

If you do the The Taken King before The Dark Below, Oryx doesn't really have a reason to kill you.

Thanks all, I will do them in order and see how it goes. Very helpful with the raid info too. Thanks.

You might want to do the dark below before you do the taken King

U can most definitely do that for the experience of year one .or u can just do ttk

Edited by Mistress Ani 99: 1/19/2016 1:17:58 PMHi logic This may come off as sounding negative but since ttk dropped all of the previous content has been made somewhat obsolete. Any guns you pick up doing Dark and HoW will only drop at a max level of 160/170 which will be useless pretty quickly as they can not be infused any higher. Having said all that I'd encourage you to do the dlc as they dropped. Dark then HoW but do the quests that are available to you for each story line. Earning year 1 exotics will then unlock year 2 ones in the kiosk. You will also gain a lot of xp and have basic raid skills. As for hitting level 40... That's just a number ( you can earn marks to buy things and wear exotic / legendary gear) The really important number is your light level as you will need to be at least 275/280 to do the ttk normal raid. I personally enjoy still doing the old raids and using my old treasured guns. Just have fun.

Destiny main story, Vault of Glass raid, The Dark Below, Crota's End Raid, House of Wolves, Prison of Elders. After those; you should be around 34-36 and can handle taken king content fairly easy. Don't forget to infuse items, also to help with the grind you can do court of oryx. With you being a warlock; the two most group beneficial classes will be Sunsinger (being able to self revive comes in handy in situations where you're team needs extra fire power quickly) and Stormcaller to clear adds. For King's Fall raid; get a sniper rifle and a machine gun. Also, for all three raids, try to look up some YouTube videos to see what to do. You'll find helpful players but a bit of insight beforehand can save several hours in the long run. Hope you have fun

Kingsfall since there is no point in doing any other raid. Thank bungie

Edited by Maniac Survivor: 1/19/2016 1:10:33 PMOrder should be: Destiny Story, Vault of Glass Raid, The Dark Below, Crota's End Raid, House of Wolves, Prison of Elders, The Takken King, King's Fall raid. But Bungie messed up and made old content irrelevant, I still recommend playing the original order so you can get the most out of it.

All the relevant things are in TTK, if you want the most fun then run the vault of glass raid, still the best raid to date. You NEED to experience the fatebringer, not much use to you after house of wolves missions etc but man it's fun!! Also if you find the time, have 3 characters they are all good in there own way.

The taken king is a continuation of the drak below, you might want to do those in order
-
Do dark below then house of wolves then the taken king
-
just do the Dark Below before the Taken King
-
The original order is (the dark below) (house of wolves) (the taken king) but if the taken king storyline actually starts from level 25 so you could jump right in if you like but to get the whole feel of the story i would so them in that order you will still get decent drops for your level
-
If you want to 'go in order:' 1) Destiny 2) The Dark Below 3) House of Wolves 4) The Taken King
-
Main story, dark below, house of wolves, taken king

3 RepliesDoesn't really matter at that point. Just choose whichever storyline you like!
