Destiny is dying
It is dying.
Had 24 friends who played destiny everyday during HoW.
A month after TTK I was left with younger brother to play with.
Hate to break it to you, but Bungie has killed this game.
Reasons:
1. They don't understand how to balance the game. They over nerf things or don't buff things at all. (Example: Sunbreaker, auto rifles and fusion rifles).
2. Raid drops are broken
3. Crucible is shit
4. You know what we have asked for, for over 13-16 months now? "Private Matches." Still haven't gotten them.
[b]5. There is a TTK Quest reward for a ship, but no one has it because no got it as a reward for completing the TTK quest storyline. Don't believe me? Go to the Ship Kiosk[/b]
6. Cut content (That is on Activision)
7. Missing shaders (Go check the Kiosk 1/3 of them are missing or not released).
8. Timegated exotics. (And some not seen, Astrocyte Verse, Shinobu's Vow, The Thagomizers).
[b]Bungie killed their own game. Destiny 2 will suck. [/b]

1 ReplyIt's not dead yet. But it is going down hill. Not enough content. Crap drops. Nightfall pointless. Old raids pointless. And bungie nerfing everything and anything people cry about instead of buffing everything else to bring it up to a competitive par. Lag issues in crusable that yet go unchanged. Booted to orbit with the error codes that says it's your fault even when most of us know it's not us. What's killing this game is not other games but bungie. They are trying to a point. But not enough to make a difference. And most of us are moveing on. Shame because this game has so much potential to be legendary.

I had all my coworkers playing beginning of ttk. Most quit at only 1 raid completion. The last few teetered off in mid January after no updates for almost a month. I'm pretty much done now

Anecdotal stories don't count... The game has gotten stale but I'll get the next expansion or whatever hey come out with next and I'm still going to log on every week to check the game.

Second, the fact that weapons really aren't that op. How would you nerf TLW? Range accuracy damage? Can you please explain how to nerf without destroying the gun. Also op =/= overused MIDA isn't op 1KYS isn't op Doctrine of passing isn't op NLB isn't op ECT...... They are all just highly used Remember during how you had 3 DLCs worth of guns. We right now, have more guns, from TTK,then vanilla destiny. It's just all get accustomed to having a large variety of guns.

Every update / event is just PvP content now, it's like Bungie just don't give a shit anymore about PvE. There's no reason to run NF or raids, strikes are repetitive and unrewarding, no new content since TTK, I'm sorry but I bought TTK to play PvE with the occasional IB run every month. I don't actually mind IB being rift, it's something different, I just want more PvE content or make all the yr 1 stuff relevant again.

2 RepliesTo be honest, the reason many of your friends and others left destiny is the loss of power. To be powerful in this game is an addictive feeling; to be max level with the best weapons and walk into any instance knowing you can beat it is great. Its the feeling most 315+ people have now; its the same feeling 34s had in how. They made us start over in a way we never have before. Power gone. That made the game way less desirable to many.

People who play Destiny tend to get bored of dying to the same weapons over and over and over in the Crucible. People who play Destiny tend to get annoyed at the crappy loot system of raids/crucible/trials/strikes. It gets boring, so people leave to play something that will be less boring until something new and different comes out.

I like the gameplay and find it a fun way to spend time. none of the things you mention change that. Once they do something to the game play that makes it no longer fun I'll quit playing. Nobody's opinion of the game affects my enjoyment of the game play so it's a useless argument.

Here is the way I see Destiny now: Destiny is like a check-out aisle. At first, everyone is waiting in the one line, but then, more and more lines open up. (other games coming out) People then leave the big line to get a spot in the new check-out aisles. Then they leave and are on their way.

Well it's all true but it depends on the person and how fun or refreshing it is to play I enjoy the game but once I've done everything for the week I go and play other games like Dark Souls 2 or Rainbow Six Siege
