Which halo campaign was the longest and best?
the past few halo games have been on the short side campaign wise, and I was wondering how you think they stack up agianst the orginal halo CE and Halo 2.

Order from my favorite to least favorite Halo 2 Halo 3: ODST Halo Wars Halo 3 Halo CE i haven't finished the ce yet, but i started with halo 2, then went to halo 3 so that was good for me.

Halo: CE had the longest, but H3: ODST had the best IMO. It was something new & interesting, and I actually had fun playing through the campaign this time around.

Well, Halo 2 had the longest and IMO the second best campaign. Halo CE's will always take the cake for being the best campaign, and game in the series. Not to say ODST's was bad, it was great, but it was short and had a bad ending. Halo 3's should be forgotten to the point of non-existance.

Halo 2 had the longest campaign by far ODST had the best campaign with the mombasa streets overworld and interesting features.

Halo 2 had the longest Campaign... unfortunately length=/=best gameplay. IMO Halo CE and ODST were on par for best gameplay and Halo 2 just failed epically from everything except a storytelling standpoint and the multiple perspectives to the story (which I think ODST did better). Texture popping was pretty bad too. If you're all gonna nag at why I thought Halo 2 had the worst Camapign here's the simple answer: It was too scripted. Battles were the same every time right down to enemy spawns and weapons. At least the other games varied this somewhat by giving enemies the possibility of spawning in slightly different locations with different weaponry. The Halo 2 Scarab was also bad, in Bungie's own words it was "a one room shack" which had no AI whatsoever. Final word: Despite my criticism Halo 2 is still a great game, it just has less replay value for me than the other 3 games in the series.

I didn't like CE because you basically did a rerun through the missions you already played, but the second time with flood. Halo 2's campaign by a long shot the Best! Halo 3 was alright. ODST's was short, but I still liked it. [Edited on 10.20.2009 4:09 PM PDT]
