How should Bungie deal with Op snipers?

2 RepliesUsing snipers is fine. Its that 1 specific sniper i have a problem with. 1k -blam!-ing stare. The most magical scrub gun of all scrubdom. For some reason bungie decided to create a sniper rifle with insane AA. And id venture a guess and say the hit boxes are bigger with 1K as well. Whens the last time you where sniped by anything else in the year 2 range?? Its -blam!-in rare to see it happen. When it does its like seeing a unicorn or dragon. Mythical....

What they should have done instead of nerfing shotguns again. Limit the damn special ammo like most know needs to be done. Nothing special about special weapons. That is all you see people running. It is stupid.

If I get sniped cleanly from distance, whatever. But if I'm shooting someone in the chest from 20 feet away and he/she still looks down the scope and is able to get off a perfect shot, Yea that kinda gets on my nerves. Flinch needs to be increased some. That is all.

They should half the damage snipers do in PvP, but double the crit damage. That way snipers take 3-4 body shots to kill somebody, but still one headshot (so they require more skill to use, not just a double tap to the body)

More flinch, descoping when getting a bullet to dmthw dome, less special ammo, Fusion stability fix. Problems solved.

Answer? Remove special ammo at spawn. Reduce number if special ammo crates. We need to force everyone (myself included) to use special less and save it for situational purposes only. Side arms that spawn with ammo are fine because they are not a one shot kill and are designed to be a finishing tool for your primary.

Lower aim assistance. Only reason I'm saying this is so the people who bitch about it can't cry about snipers being OP. Efrideets Spear was always good. People just can't admit there is nothing wrong with snipers, and the 1000-yard stare is overused due to scopes/archetype/availability.
