My parents are willing to pay for my college in full if I attend full-time. However, I know I'll be miserable going into college and I'll likely fail my classes anyway.
I personally want to get a job, but I won't be able to afford a car to travel between work and home. Working a job would make me happy.
I'm not sure. Any advice?

If I could go back, I would've gone to trade school in high school, so I could get certified as a mechanic instead. Personal preference tho, just thought I'd put it out there, trade school.

Go to a trade school.
-
What kind of job do you want? If they are willing to pay for it, pick a college that focuses on the skills you'd be using at the job you want.
-
Do both. I'm a full time college student and I work around 25 hours per week. I really don't like college though, it is pretty miserable for me. If I could find a job that paid me decent and gave me 40+ hours a week I would just drop out and do that instead.

Edited by Some Black Guy: 1/15/2016 11:16:09 PMChoose an easy major where you'll make 30-50k a year and try to be happy. I'm in college, learning how to run a business and become my own boss. Choose whatever makes you happy. If you can make an app or the next big thing, give that a go as well. Don't hold back on life bruh. You'll hate working for $8-$15 an hour the rest of your life.

College, 100%. Get your education. It is way harder to do that when you have a family and job later in life, trust me.
-
Go to college if/when you are ready. That's a whole lotta money to waste if you aren't ready for it. Besides, it is completely unnecessary. People have productive, happy, and successful lives without college degrees.

College. Since you failed your first semester you should either focus on general ed. classes or just switch to an easier major.
-
If you failed all your classes first semester then you didn't try. All the good things in life you actually have to work for. Hope this helps.

Do what you want, but be willing to accept the consequences of whatever you do. College is much more relaxed than high school, and it is a great time. Can't hurt to try a semester? First year stuff is not hard at all.

Edited by Oak_Khan: 1/15/2016 10:13:55 PMGetting a job and not going to college will be the biggest mistake of your life. Seriously don't do it, but if you do try and get certificates in what you are interested in. At least give it a shot, go in undecided, take classes you are interested in, at least do your homework and go to the library on the weekends. If you fully believe you can't do this, then do the certificate thing, so you at least don't end up a bum. Oh and what was your past work experience?

You might think having a job is fun (I saw you wanted to be a cashier or waiter) but in reality it won't be long before you hate your job
-
If your parents are going to pay for it then you need to go do it now. Loans are a bitch

Edited by Woupsea: 1/15/2016 10:04:43 PMBruh, you're going to spend a huge majority of your life doing mind numbingly boring tasks for some CEO that doesn't give a shit about you. Go to school and get a step up in life
-
Work part time and let your parents cover college, win-win.
-
Get a job, learn how you wont go anywhere in the world without a college degree, go to college, get degree,????, profit.
-
College, bro. More profit

Working a job WONT make you happy fyi. The grind sucks
