Buying engrams from Master Rahool
So I read this comment the other day where a destiny player said they like to spend their marks on primary engrams from Rahool in search of a good roll. I had been spending marks on crap lately anyway and thought that wasn't a bad idea to at least test for a while. So I bought my first one last night.
What pops up? A 310 exotic NLB lol.
I would have been okay if I hadn't just received this "about a week ago" and already had it leveled at 310. My thoughts right away were "sweet, 135 marks for an exotic shard." I ended up infusing it into another weapon but I still walked away upset. I would have rather had a crap legendary to dismantle but it is what it is and this game has thrown too many RNG surprises for me to be upset lol.
If anyone else buys engrams from rahool, what have those experiences been like?

The last 3 sets of 135 marks have went towards a legendary special engram for me in search of a good 1KYS. The last 3 times have been the crucible sniper. So much disappointment.

It would be in the low impact category , it would shoot 2 bullets in rapid succession but it would be a 3 body hit burst sniper rifle . Or 2 hit headshot , and it would go on the primary slot . Basically what I feel a real primary sniper rifle should be

I always buy special engrams. Haven't gotten a great 1000 yd stare yet. But I have gotten a conspiracy theory that is way better than the one from the quest line.

I got trolled for weeks getting hand cannons I never use and was about to give up. The only thing I wanted was a good hawksaw and started running the crappy one in my vault. Then I finally had a hawksaw drop. Nice roll but I kept at it and had 3 more drop in a row (over the course of two weeks or so). My last was basically a god roll for me. My luck dropped off after that but I keep at it! Next one I'm after is a 1kys with HH... Lol

Their price for these items is absurd. Especially with the cap being at 200. 135 motes for an RNG roll? Come on.

Get enough marks to get screwed over for your time spent. Part of why I rarely touch this game anymore aside from the pvp lag and sweat.

That's all I've been using my marks for now for months, never saw an exotic though, and very few good rolls on anything.

It's all I spend my marks on now, I want a 1K with a good PvE roll. Never even had a 1K drop yet.

Yeah, if I want something to drop in a specific slot but don't like what is for sale. Also, to avoid maxing out marks.
