Is it wrong to use the word retarded as an insult?
I was in my advisory and me and a couple friends were joking around and I called one retarded (as a joke, and the friend knew that) and my advisor yelled at me and told me to not use that word in her room every again

Theres a term that exists. I completely forgot it but i got called one once. Basically it means that every day words are offensive. For example, you cant say "walk" because youll offend a wheelchair bound person. Cant say "stupid" because youll offend an autistic person and etc etc. Its the stupidest term to exist next to cultural appropriation and it just shows how asshurt people get over the smallest things.
