Aim assist on primaries = bullet magnetism
Aim assist on snipers = Time the reticle slows down on the head
People are complaining about snipers...but snipers are worse after TTK than they were in year one (see my argument in video)
With the nerf of shotguns, everyone is pointing the finger, but people who are talent snipers are getting shit simply because they have practiced...This isn't right.
Is sniping in destiny pretty easy compared to other games? Sure, I'll agree to that.
But to call them broken due to aim assist is a lie.

If you're being shot head on, the Flinch isn't that noticeable but from the side your screen shakes a lot more. It's designed to work that way so you can tell where you're being shot from. If your screen is shunting to the left, you're being shot from the right etc. The way that works, mixed with Aim Assist is probably the reason Snipers can quite happily sit there under head-on fire whilst ADS and still get those headshots like a guy taking sweets from a baby. Snipers require more Flinch under fire from the front, which should be randomised shunting making it more of a required skill to control it and get those headshots. The only exception to this is if the weapon has the Unflinching perk. Speaking of which, makes your screen shunt less from all angles. Now think of how much the screen doesn't shunt from head-on fire mixed with that perk and Aim Assist... EDIT: I'd just like to add that people misconception of 1000 Yard Stare is simply due to it's popularity. Everyone got handed one, it has one of the highest Impacts, why wouldn't you use it?
