Want to know how to ween yourself off of caring about K/D?
Start having a kid play on your account.
I used to cringe when he would run around on my characters in PVP talking about how he's only going to melee everyone this round. But it made him happy which made his mom happy which made his mom make me happy. ;)

My youngest son has a higher K/D than me. He doesn't care at all about his, though. His Hunter is right around 1.2 lifetime. He played mainly as a Titan year 1 (1.08), played a little as his Warlock (1.13), but the Hunter is his favorite with Nightstalker (with his 34 kill streak, I understand why). He's 9.

Yes, lol. Or take over the game after your wife stops playing (I bought the game for her and got hooked watching her play). She left me with an overall .4 kd. I managed to double it but it's going to take forever to rectify it.

I won't even try to rectify my BO3 K/D. He tries the "melee only" matches there too..... it's 2 hits to kill... Yea..... Go go 3-20 games on my account...
