I've read a bunch of posts about NMS and noticed there's tons of misinformation going around about how the game universe is generated. Rather than explain it.
I'm going to post a link to a video of the games creator, explaining how it works for those interested in knowing.

14 RepliesNot really interested anyways, IMO it looks like it'll be another overhyped mess. Sure it'll be an alright game, but it won't be the 2nd coming of christ like some people treat it as. I mean, what do you even do with no objectives and no co-op? Wouldn't buy it even if I had a PS4.

2 RepliesIs there gonna be a building aspect on planets and stuff?
and third person
155 RepliesEdited by Keyan: 1/14/2016 3:46:25 PMHow No Mans Sky works: Picture an infinite universe. With the ability to go wherever you want And do whatever you want Now picture planets the size of planets NPCs and wildlife The ability to name your discoveries Mining that involves blasting rocks with your gun but it pisses off space cops Killing animals that are hostile towards you but it pisses off space cops Make a planet your own (by pissing off space cops) The ability to be a pirate robbing others for loot Now imagine how insanely epic this would be with some friends. Now that you have that in your head, picture doing it all by yourself. With no true goal in the game. CAUSE THERES NO MULTIPLAYER Hope I didn't completely crush your dreams.... Bright side: You can sit there staring at the newest animal you called "Dickhead" WHILE OFFLINE! :D Edit: OP can't handle criticism against games he likes. Maybe it's cause he knows it's true! O_O Better Edit: So is it really that awful to want multiplayer in a game with the biggest areas to explore? I'm not the only one thinking this.

2 RepliesEdited by Vardnax: 1/17/2016 10:22:11 PMYou kind of mess up your thread by constantly arguing with people. From what I've seen there are more than 100 posts about you and others arguing and insulting each other. Damn son.

I don't care as long as I can land on a tranquil planet and build a little city

29 RepliesEdited by alvin2503: 1/17/2016 9:15:53 AMI just wish that the game would include some kind of "fireteam" or a party so we can actually travel together

1 ReplyThe thing that makes me not want it is the fact that you can't kill shit without having a police force try to stop you. That's bullshit. I want to have some trophies in my ship :(

1 ReplyWe are here, in 2016, where people discourage any new game or technology, where hyping something isn't allowed at all

1 ReplyThe thing that confuses everyone is the "multiplayer"

19 RepliesEdited by xDeFalt: 1/12/2016 3:05:07 AMWhy do people still care about this game so much? Its been announced for half passed forever, the showed gameplay is limited and there is not even a full guarantee that it'll ever see the light of day and even if it did, we all know it'll fail severely to live up to everyone's expectations due to this ridiculous over hyping crap and will follow the stride of games like duke nukem forever.

1 ReplyThis game looks amazing. And the fact that I don't have to deal with people unless I want to is amazing.
Did I mention that this game has Oculus support?
