I've been having a problem where I can't talk in parties on X1. I've done multiple hard resets, bought a new mic and that still isn't working. It's pissing me off because the only reason I even bought an X1 was to talk to my brother. If I can't do that then there's no point me having it.

whats your internet?

1 ReplySell your Xbox One. Buy a Sega Mega Drive. Buy Echo the Dolphin. The end.
-
1 ReplyFor whatever reason Microsoft can't figure out Xbox parties. They have always had problems.

Try updating your controller. If your NAT is anything other than Open, that also may well be the issue.
-
That sounds like a personal problem
-
Is it your NAT type? It does that on ps4 sometimes if someone has a strict NAT type

You may have a ban in place. Try this: go to 'power & start-up', go to 'power & start-up mode', change from 'instant-on' to 'energy-savings', turn off Xbox, turn back on. This allows the Xbox to dump all bad data in the cache and fixes almost all issues. I've recommended this procedure to others and has fixed party issues and other things

I've recently had network issues connecting to a party on Xbone. The problem just fixes itself after a few minutes of not being in a party.

My ps4 is working fine.. Kidding im not that guy..calm down.

Make sure your controller is assigned to your profile. If I change controllers while playing it'll switch to my Kinect as a mic until I reassign the controller to my gamertag in settings.
-
I had this same problem when I first got my xbox one and it ended up being a problem with the controller. Luckily I bought an extra one when it came out
-
Try updating your controller. Also have you looked at the headset volume controls in settings. It may be you have that set to low.
-
5 RepliesYou should've just bought a phone. Learn how to use search engines to solve your issues.

I had no problems.

It used to be better, they switched to server based parties and now it's super inconsistent.

Edited by Reign of Bane: 1/11/2016 2:28:36 AMI have had no issues with the current OS, and with up to12 in the party. Maybe the issue is your settings? Or ISP?
-
I've had 0 problems

I get a similar issue with my Turtlebeach X01s. I can hear everyone absolutely fine and communicate with no issues, but the second I join a party I have to wiggle the connection piece around just to faintly hear anyone. I've resorted to using the default Xbox headset to party chat on Ark. It sucks because I can barely hear game volume to the degree I'd like.

Update your controller. Its in the settings somewhere.
-
I've had problems as well, says the connection to the party failed, always assumed it was my shitty internet
-
You may need to update the controller. Here is a link to a tutorial on how to update : https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter
-
Turn it off then turn it on again
-
Your account is probably temporarily banned from communication because not being to talk in the party but still hear everyone is what happens.

4 RepliesThat's strange. I've OCCASIONALLY had a connection problem that's usually fixed by someone/everyone resetting. Any more detail onto how it's not working
