To whomever it concerns. I see across the forums various complaints about the current inability to consistently hit the current max light level because of the infamous RNG based system that Destiny has. This system was improved with the ability to infuse the gear you want, with gear of a higher level. Unfortunately, just because you have a 310 weapon, and infuse a 320 into it, doesn't mean you get a 320 weapon, and drops of any gear higher than 310 are not common outside of completing the hard mode version of the kings fall raid, trials of Osiris lighthouse rewards, and nightfall (if you only want a ghost shell. My RNG is awful and nightfall is still just as useless to me as it was before). But here's my solution. Right now, you can only infuse an item of a certain type, with a higher level item of that same type. Primaries with primaries, helmets with helmets, etc. Bungie, if you removed that restriction, to allow any weapon type to be infused with any other again type, and any armor piece to be infused with any other armor piece, that might solve a lot of the RNG issue. A personal example is I currently have 6 fusion rifles in my vault that are over 310 light level. I have no special weapon to put them into that already hasn't been improved to 320. But I do have primaries I would like higher than 300, or even 310. Let me put any weapon I have into any weapon I have. You break them down into the same part, so why couldn't I just put it into my heavy, or my primary? Another personal example is this. When we completed the challenge mode for Golgoroth this last week, my titan got 3 chest pieces, and 2 artifacts. While getting a 320 chest piece was nice, getting 2 others, both 310 and 317, were essentially useless as I didn't have any other chest piece I needed infusion for, at this point. But I did need infusion material for my other armor. I have it in the form of things I don't need, but will never be able to use it outside of its very specific infusion roll. Give us the tools to somewhat fight the RNG system. Let us infuse across weapon types, and armor types. Thank you
