Can anyone help me please, I'm a level 39 almost 40, I used to play Destiny ALL the time and when Taken King came out I didn't have the money and just forgot about it. I finally picked it up and I'm lovin it, but I'm so lost. I don't know what to do at all. I finished the story and don't know what to do, I need someone to show me the ropes and help me get ready for the raid or maybe even complete the raid, I'm still doing some quests and would love help with those too. If you can help I'm on Xbox ONE and my GT is BOOCHALOTAWADS, please message me and help me.

Edited by sionat: 1/9/2016 8:41:17 AMFinish as many quests as you can, run the court of oryx for artifact and gear, get as many calcified fragments as possible (for Touch of Malice weapon later), buy legendary gear if necessary so it can be infused by higher light blue gear and other legendaries you don't want, you should be above 280 light in no time, finish nightfalls, buy 3ofC with strange coins, spam the vanguard strike list with them for exotics, you will be 290 or 300+ and ready for normal raid to learn the mechanics. Get 305+ and you can go hard mode...310+ is better but depends on your RNG. Gear that drops from the raid should bring you up as well before you take on HM oryx (highest recommended light boss in the game so getting 310 definitely helps). Finish raid challenges for 320 guaranteed gear, be 317+ and rule the PvE side of the game. Exotics drop at min 310 light once you are above 310. Get black spindle sniper.

Not on Xbox, but make sure you finish part 2 of the story. The taken war quest lines. Court of oryx is also a good source of gear to help level up your light.
