I was about to start a topic concerning dismantling weapons and armor, and then I found this by BULLYPYTHON. I have spent a lot of time (having my Guardian literally sitting in front of a vault access point) moving items to my character, then dismantling; go back into the vault, move more items, then dismantle. It would be great if we could have the ability to dismantle gear on the website via Gear Manager. Now, the only issue I see would be the parts/armor materials and glimmer that may be lost while dismantling via Gear Manager. I know the website is tied in part to the game as we can see everything that we have and prep load-outs prior to our next game, but does the Gear Manager and game servers have the ability perform the same functions of providing material and glimmer if dismantling were an added function? If having this function via the computer or mobile app would mean that we forfeit the additional materials and glimmer, honestly, I would accept the loss. With the drops of weaponry and armor, anyone should be able to replenish the losses somewhat easily, especially in patrol missions, story line missions, or PvP. This paragraph could, and probably should have been left out, but...I'm just thinking things out. Now, it may be asked, why don't you manage your storage space better...easy 2 reasons for this. 1) I just started playing and didn't know that the vault/storage was used to transfer items from one character to another and 2) that there would be this many drops throughout the game. Trust me, I'm not complaining about the drops, but to have the ability to dismantle equipment outside the game in the Gear Manager would make things so much easier...and I think many will agree.
