This encourages it. It used to be 99 percent shotgun users, now it's more like 70 percent, I believe that 1000k yard as a quest reward helped with this. There could be more variety in sniper choice although all attribute that one to Bungie making only one sniper in the category that I like. The eirene scopes are unusable to me.

Almost everyone just sits back in the spawn and snipes. That's it that's the entire crucible meta right now, you go to a line of sight and just scope down that line of sight until someone passes through your scope. Combine this with the lag that most people experience and boom crucible becomes an unplayable camping lagfest.

I play mostly objective game modes but in clash I can see where you are coming from.

I play mostly Rift so the objective based game mode stuff doesn't really work. Whatever game mode I start playing there's always 99% snipers and almost all of them camp and it's becoming more and more annoying, as a person who mainly playes Crucible this game is slowly becoming unplayable. If this happens to me because of SBMM then I hope they just remove that all together seeing how lag is even more annoying in Destiny PvP than in say CoD.

I play 3v3 with a sniper, and usually 1 friend using a sniper and another using a shotgun. In my entire career of sniping, I have seen less than 100 games where people are camping with a sniper. May you're just playing stupid because all you have to do too stop camping is to a different way, and jump around corners.

So with you calling me a stupid player I decided to look you up on destiny tracker with a 1.28 kd. I have a 2.0 kd all around so you can't really be criticizing me in my way of playing. Clearly there is some sort of SBMM. You have a low kd and you don't encounter camping snipers, I have a higher kd and I encounter lots of them.

I have faced the best of them, a d quite often. My kd also may be low, but only recently did I start playing more competitively. One thing you failed to realise is kd doesn't change very much when you are top 1% for kills and deaths. I have faced people like triplewreck and others close to his skill and NONE of them stayed in one place. Either way kd doesn't matter if you're improving. If you're dying because people are camping, that is entirely your fault. If you can't weed out a camper that is your fault.

That all depends on how many people are camping. If you play 6v6 and 4/6 people in the enemy team are camping their spawn with snipers. Mix that with the bad connections and you'll start to understand what I'm talking about. I don't mind playing campers in 3v3 they're easy to take out most of the time but when you get to 6v6 and the majority of a team is camping it starts to get a little more annoying.

Exactly so you don't even understand what I'm talking about, I played a ton of skirmish in y1 but it got a bit boring and went back to 6v6. I started seeing a bit more snipers in crucible when the 2.0 patch hit and I was rly happy about that but now it's come to a point where I'm happy to see more shotguns than snipers because I know that there isn't as many people camping their spawn. In 3v3 it's only 3 players that could potentially be spawn camping which doesn't usually happen much outside of trials where it's almost always whoever gets the 1st snipe wins the round.
