Why do people not know what "satire" means?
Here's the [url=http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/satire]dictionary definition of satire.[/url]
Why do so many misuse this word? People take it to mean something like sarcasm, and though satire can employ sarcasm, that's not what it is. I've seen people here think that anything satirical must be humorous in nature, when in reality the opposite is often the case. It isn't synonymous with "shitpost" either.
So, what's the deal with people misusing this word so often?

Longface started the trend and all his 10 year old followers who worship him started doing it , then most of #Destiny started doing until a portion of #Destiny came here and continued it.

Most of the people that spam #satire are in #destiny. There's no point in trying to communicate with 10 year old fanboys.
