10 tell-tales signs your not going to beat Oryx:
10. You wipe more than 3 times at any stage before Daughters
9. People talk about random shift-f while playing
8. There's no fireteam leadership
7. Players could care less whether you get the chests or not
6. Players posted "looking for quick run" on LFG
5. No communication!
4. The 310 fireteam leader is a HM veteran
3. The fireteam leader has the lowest light level
2. One of the Titans doesn't have BoL levelled up yet, so he runs relic
1. Player tells everyone to kill the wizards and knights at totems while killing none himself

Just made a raid team of 319s only amd we finished everything first try. THATS WHY PEOPLE ASK FOR 319 ONLY

3 of these I done and wiping on daughters cuz of the relic switching, lag and someone left isn't a good reason, and this was the first time the challenge came around with this happening, the cussing is normal lol, and no leadership cuz we all know what we were doing

I end up finding a different fireteam afterwards that is focused on beating oryx. Lately I have been starting off killing oryx 1st on my characters, then casually finishing the rest of the raid throughout the week.

1 Reply#10...was playing with a group and we had 11 deaths at the very first stage of the raid where you gotta slam all the relics to open the gate...was like omg this isn't gonna happen...then we get to totems and breeze through to Oryx without a single wipe, took us 3 tries to beat him and I couldn't believe my eyes lol

Looking at this list you rename it "signs that you won't GET to oryx ". Thinking about killing him would be a dream. Also some of those are untrue.

1. People that don't understand that sh*t happens and even the best most experienced player can and will eventually die. Cut people some slack if they die. They are already pissed at themselves. They don't need you to yell and complain.

10, 9 and 7 are probably the least true here. I'd never join a raid group where people [b]didn't[/b] talk about random stuff.

Low light levels, or lagging/red bars. Those are my indicators. I'll be incredibly patient but if you can't even meet minimum requirements for the encounter, either you're out or I'm out.

Uhhhh. Some of my best experiences in Hard Mode King's Fall have met most of the criteria listed. Talking about random things while Raiding? Can be a good sign we all can hold our own easily enough that we can joke around or talk about other things. The Raid is really just going through the motions by now for most players.

2 RepliesOur raid rules are simple: If you're not at least 350 and can equip Touch of Malice, Black Spindle, AND Sleeper Simulant all at the same time, then no raid for you. In addition, that Sleeper Simulant better have Wolfpack rounds unlocked and if those Wolfpack rounds don't do DoT damage, then get the f*** up outta my face. Scrubs.

Lol I just did hard mode with a group that wiped 5 times on daughters we were talking about random shit the leader was the lowest light level and we had a titan who didn't have defender leveled up so he was running. Covered half your list and we still beat it in around 40min still a little long but not bad
