Omg what's up with 317/318/319 requirements?
For raids
There explanation for that?
Need to finish it quick lol.
Edit. I just don't understand who the -blam!- dont want to do the raid quickly but 319 ? Really? R u that dumb ? So everytime ur light lvl goes up ur requirements will go up ? Lol
Light lvl doesn't determine skill. It just says how lucky u can be.

1 ReplyI joined an LFG group who were all 318-320. Same requirements and a "want to get this down fast" type of attitude. Here is what happened. Statues went well. 2 of them sucked major ass at jumping ships. Couldn't even do totems and they had to do the sword glitch. Warpriest went well. One guy who got the poison always killed everyone. Guess he didn't notice the timer and the Thorn haze on his screen.. Same two guys from earlier sucked at jumping puzzle. The leader kept changing the strategy every single time someone got the aura. So Daughters took about half an hour. Guys holding platforms 2 and 3 couldn't kill their red bar Knight worth a damn. Our running kept dying when he went to tag vessel. One dude prematurely detonated his orbs on Oryx challenge, three times... Killed Oryx after about 2 hours. Being 318 plus may be cool, but it sure as hell doesn't demonstrate skill. Ran it with my regular group who are all around 314-317 and we finished everything in about an hour and some change. [spoiler]Those who say the Challenge Mode is too easy must not have ran it with LFG groups[/spoiler]

Someone who was 311 put up an lfg post asking for 317 and above... I found out after I got the invite. I should've left but I didn't, he ended up actually being good at the game. I hate it when people put up posts like that. It makes me think they just want to be Sherpa'd.

It is because most want to do hm and they don't want spend hours and hours on oryx since he's 320 on hm and 310 on normal. Light makes a huge difference

2 RepliesI joined an lfg group where the requirement was to have the oryx challenge emblem... 315 light, Tom, spindle etc... For oryx challenge. Wait, why do I need both Tom and spindle for that challenge. I joined as 319, and immediately the host who was a 316 asked for the emblem. I'm like, really? I have over 1000 Grimoire over him, and was the highest in the group. I flash the emblem to prove it, then back to my fwc. We run the challenge, and it was wipe after wipe... Typically I had 50-60 kills, while host had 10-15. Just because you have a group that all had the emblem doesn't mean it's a good group. I later left, found another group with no requirements, 3 of them hadn't finished the challenge before. We completed it on 2nd try...

Because people 317+ generally have put time into the game and therefore are more experienced. I don't want to waste time with a 310 with <5 completions that finds a way to die constantly. But don't get me wrong I have had plenty of raids where 318+ people are garbage at the game.

Yeah, I just ignore those. Someone wants to put dumbass requirements for their raid party, whatever, knock yourself out. I just make my own raid posts and roll the dice.

I got to 314 light before it hit me... Why am I still playing this game? What is fun about it? My friends have left... I have done all there is to do... All the challenge modes, flawless, everything. I had all the weapons and armor that wasn't time gated... I just didn't understand the reasoning for continuing to grind.. So I started playing other games.. And it is bliss!!! So fkk off with your requirements! All they show anyone is that your an addict in need of serious mental help. There isn't one reason to still be playing this game... Addiction is the only thing driving any of you people anymore. Go play Fallout, or Halo, or 2K, or FIFA, or Madden, or Gears, or Forza, or any other of the plethora of games that absolutely blow this one out the water!! Trust me it's worth it!!! You can beat the addiction!!!! I have faith in all of you!!!!

Edited by Liberty WaIk: 1/7/2016 10:03:11 AMFolks want higher light folks because that shows they have put time and effort to getting to 320 or 319 ( it's not all luck when you see folks at 100% intellect and 100% discipline)and they don't want to spend 3 hours On a 13 minute oryx encounter. I check grimoire and for emblems before I even send a message. Every lfg high light group I have joined has beaten it first or second try. Low level folks can't hold plates and die over and over. This is my experience. Btw I like to see 311 or higher in my raids.

Didn't enjoy the raid at all, content at 305 so I may do the challenge mode just for the fragments but yeah, this raid just isn't fun for me.

2 RepliesI joined my first 318+ requirement group today and OH BOY was it a delight- killed golgoroth first try in 2 damage phases for the first time. I've had equally smooth groups with very little requirements but when I see " 315+, have these weapons, no kids, get kicked if you're bad, etc." I know that it's a group of mostly mature guys with experience that aren't wasting time.

Your " it's all just luck" schtick doesn't fly anymore. A skilled, experienced player [i]will[/i] be above 316 light. They won't be 300.

Hosting a raid team. Must be able to recite the 7-step plan and know about the old guard and the Seventh Column to squad up. [spoiler]In this topic, there is a lot of talk about unreasonable raid requirements. Just squad up and have fun with people you find enjoyable. The light level gradually becomes arbitrary in PvE anyway.[/spoiler]

16 Replies317 is realistic. I mean if you've been doing hard mode at least 2x a week from when CHALLENGE was released, you will be 317. Higher light shows a sign of commitment. I don't want to hear the stories "oh we had a 320 who was terrible, and a 302 who destroyed oryx hard." If you take 100 320's, and 100 310's, you will find that as a group result, the 320's performed better.

So I know you can handle a hard task. Be a 5 star rated chef to be able to make world class sandwiches , must have great taste in food and be able to make them , so I can enjoy a great feast while you carry me ..err I mean "help" me .. Have a masters degree in engineering ,music , art history and philosophy . I'm not playing with uneducated dimwits and need to able to enjoy classical music and lectures while enjoying said sandwich . Have the ability to hack into Bungie servers and Be able to hack into the game so your character can hold the gun and shoot for me . What do you think this is Work ? No I want to enjoy the satisfaction of beating the raid with minimal effort . The people who post those aren't skilled themselves. The higher level you want other players, the less confident you are in your own skills. I'm quite happy for anyone 300+ to join me up to oryx, then if they've played well they can stay. If they start struggling and holding the team back I'll find someone 311+. I once had a team, not long after hard mode was released, demand I put on my hard mode completion emblem to prove I'd done it before. They wouldn't start until I had. I begrudgingly put it on and we started... They were all absolute dog.
