Why do people insist on having to use TOM for KF Raid?

I don't understand... I much prefer to use my 320 Black Spindle or my 318 Sleeper Simulate (I run ruin wings so plent of ammo drop) for both Daughters and Oryx. If you like TOM that's fine but I get angry when people insist you must use them. Idiots.

DPS is a bit more important on Oryx, and since the aura grants invincibility you can use the last bullet for more damage against the daughters and oryx. I still do not use it in the raid though. Only my explosive rounds Treads Upon Stars

  • I hope you end up getting wrecked like the last guy that put a post like this up. Someone with time will search all the recruitment posts and hopefully find a post with you asking for tom. You sir are an utter pole dancing chimp.

  • Because you can't get critical on oryx black spindle doesn't work so therefore TOM Comes in as a replacement

    • To me, it's much more efficient vs effectiveness. Spindle and Stimulant do more DPS per shot, but the Malice will give you more over time, plus you don't have to worry about ammo or reloading, especially in the Aura. Obviously the downside to the Malice is you lose health, and it's the worst for the Shade. I always snipe or use me MG when in there. I honestly feel it boils down to preference and my group will never ask anyone to run anything they are not comfortable with. I recommend you stay away from those types of groups, because some will be too damn toxic.

      • Only use on Daughters. Other than that, Red Death

      • A while it's not absolutely necessary, it's more efficient. Why? Well, even though spindle does more damage per shot, it deals less damage per second, and that boils down to fire rate, and flinch/scope movement due to enemy fire. Yeah, if you hit all perfect shots, that's all fine well and dandy, but if you're missing shots, you're also losing value. There's no value to lose with ToM. None. In the aura, you have infinite health, and infinite ammo, with the power and speed of Tlaloc with Full auto, more if you have weapons of light and a tether. Again, you can beat the sisters without it, but ToM just makes it really quick. Oryx, though, it does become problematic, because dealing damage to Oryx himself is done mostly by the blights, and the damage phases, I guess you can call them, are less crucial to the plot of the fight, and the DPS you need is on ogres, and knights if you're running that strategy on hard, but Touch of Malice is a double edged sword. Black spindle still doesn't fit too well here, only because in order to make it worth using during Oryx, you need to make sure you're sniping as fast and as accurately as you possibly can to take advantage of black spindles perks. Golgoroth? Use it. Sisters and Oryx? Don't. There are better options there.

        • Infinite ammo and does not have to reload on last shot and last shot does bonus damage and when you are in that aura when you're fighting the sisters and Oryx you are in the aura which nullifies the negative effect of touch of malice so you and your team can do consistent damage without having to reload. so tell me now how you don't understand not using the touch of malice?

          • Malice does the most damage on daughters and oryx boss fights and more damage per second means it's better.

          • I don't understand either. It isn't absolutely necessary.
