Well, everybody has a thousand yard stare, and it's a good sniper. There are other snipers in the game that are better than it, or at least on par with it. But not everybody has those snipers, because they weren't gifted to players in the campaign. Therefore, everybody uses their thousand yard stare. TLW is king of the crucible right now, and people often use it with a sniper, so then even more people are using thousand yard stare. In addition, everybody grabbed one in y1, so it's an exotic that most y1 vets should have in their collections. Mida is a really good weapon. Scout rifles are meta right now, and mida is a really good scout rifle. It's just an all around great weapon that most y1 vets have, along with a lot of y2s.
