Well, everybody has a thousand yard stare, and it's a good sniper. There are other snipers in the game that are better than it, or at least on par with it. But not everybody has those snipers, because they weren't gifted to players in the campaign. Therefore, everybody uses their thousand yard stare.
TLW is king of the crucible right now, and people often use it with a sniper, so then even more people are using thousand yard stare. In addition, everybody grabbed one in y1, so it's an exotic that most y1 vets should have in their collections.
Mida is a really good weapon. Scout rifles are meta right now, and mida is a really good scout rifle. It's just an all around great weapon that most y1 vets have, along with a lot of y2s.

Edited by TripleJ: 1/5/2016 12:17:54 AMEasiest way to fix would be to relax damage drop off on ARs and HCs and buff all flinch against snipers. TLW needs a slight Increase to ttk so it's possible to counter, it can outgun heavies atm.

I agree. ARs also need a slight ADS accuracy buff like HCs received. I think if they extended damage falloff to start out 10%-15% further it would make them far more viable. In my personal opinion the high TTK has slowed down gameplay and needs to be lowered across the board in order to speed up matches and encourage more interesting gameplay.
I love my Doctrine of Passing w/ Counterbalance!
Fine with the higher ttk, they just didn't think to adjust other weapon types to compensate so everyone just uses the fastest ttk weapons to ignore the nerfs. The weapons feel close to being balanced, it's just outliers bypassing it.
