Ammourette walked through the streets, gravel crunching underneath her feet softly. She had attentive eyes that watched everyone's little movements made as they passed each other, eyes like a hawk she was scouring for possible threats. She was new here and didn't trust anyone, safer that way she was a warrior after all, a samurai some might say from her attire and two katanas, one Short one long. Ammourette preferred the simple term swordsman, everyone knew what that was. Yet she stuck out like a sore thumb in this gigantic city with towering marines in suits of metal. Truth was she was wandering, trying to make money and a name for herself, it was her dream to be the best swordman there ever was. It was a crazy dream yet still she trained and learned the way of the sword. Set out first chance she could, but this...this wasn't what she expected, the city looked like it was in the middle of constant war.
Just another obstacle to over come.
She smiled to herself and kept on walking, swords at her side.

Several Tech priest crews can be seen going over the wreckages of city. One team in particular are jumping around a crashed Vertibird in excellent condition
-
Edited by TechnicalEmpress: 1/7/2016 9:45:52 PMShe stopped as she passed by, examining the crew first then the vertibird. A ship?
-
The crew was a simple mix of 3 Enginseers and Rune Priest accompanied by an Armed Electro-Priest. All of whom were garbled in the red and black robes of the Mechanicus Cult. The Vertibird looked almost prestine besides the obvious scorch marks o. The starboard motor and the obvious crash landing wounds. 2 gatling lasers occupied the sides of the crew hatch and a pinicle mounted turret of ancient design lay mangled under the birds nose. "Archaic in design but yes she is a ship." A Senior engineer states in a plain mechanical voice. He appears more to glide than walk as he comes closer. "You wouldn't happen to know where we get some industrial promethium and maybe the totaled wreckage of some other vehicles are would you?"
-
No I wouldn't, first day here in this city actually. I don't even know who you people are. She looked them over, she wasn't used to technology that much at all.
-
Each one of the men boast mechanical limbs and augmentations. Static electricity sparks from the skin of the electro-priest. "Adeptus Mechanicus, guardians of technology. Followers of the omnisiah." He lowers his hood revealing that half of his face has been replaced with an augmetic. A red lensed optic cycling through the light change.
-
Whoa. She laughs. That's a bit scary and....creepy. A bit offtopic here but do you know where I might find a place to stay? Like renting a room.
-
" I would try for the western or northern districts. The south and east are still iffy with insurgents. But please if you happen. To see any vehicle salvageable please send it to us." With that the engineer goes back to work.
-
Got it, thanks. She walked off towards the northern district.
-
From the shadows, he watched. Another warrior. Nothing different. Except.... That sword... his memory struck him. The sword... the sword... the blue bird, the blue flames... He continued to watch. This time, someone had caught his attention.
-
Edited by TechnicalEmpress: 1/5/2016 10:43:37 PMAmmourette continued her strut through the street, she did catch the man's glare though. She narrowed her eyes at him and picked up the pace that she was making through the crowd. Another odd one... She murmured.
-
The Kauyon watched, still undetected by the girl. He observed her distance herself from a perv who was simply... "enjoying the scenery." He couldn't reveal himself yet, but if harm were to present itself to the girl, he'd have no choice but to interfere. He couldn't let her disappear. Not a girl with a blade like this one.
-
Ammourette stopped and turned around looking in all directions, she could feel eyes on her but couldn't tell who or where the culprit was. She looked at the two swords at her side, unsheathing them halfway to reveal the edges coated in a viscous green liquid that was housed in the sheathe itself. With an abrupt 'click' she holstered them once more and began to make her way to an open area away from the crowds.
-
The Kauyon continued to follow her. He debated wether he should reveal himself or not... but for now, he would only follow her.
-
After a few minutes she massages her temples in frustration, obviously not finding whatever she was looking for. This place doesn't seem to have many skilled swordsmen, though i suppose that narrows my search more. She sighed placing her hands on her hips looking from left to right her hair whisking in the wind as she decided where to go next.
-
He observed her, making a decision. Once she was alone, out of sight, he let himself be seen. The Kauyon stood above the girl, much taller than her. His armor was pitch black with bright red markings. He simply appeared, seemingly from nowhere, in front of her. He looked at her through his red optics. "The blade... may I see it?"
-
She took a step back looking up into the glowing red orbs. You don't just appear in front of a girl and ask to see her belongings. Were you the one i felt watching me? Ammourette was wary of the hulking behemoth standing before her.
-
"Kauyon apologizes. No harm was meant towards Sabre Girl." The being, albeit armed and threatening, seemed harmless enough.
-
Edited by TechnicalEmpress: 1/5/2016 11:59:41 PMSabre girl? My name is Ammourette. She eased up a bit looking him over a bit before speaking again. Why do you want to examine my sword?
-
"Kauyon has seen similar weapon before. Kauyon's memories... not as good as they were. Kauyon trying to remember sabre from Kauyon's past."
-
I'm afraid this isn't a sword you've seen before, I've had it since it was made. Ammourette unsheathed the longer sword of the two. A few drops of the green liquid on the blade hit the ground, sizzling through the gravel like acid.
-
"Kauyon doesn't speak of the sword itself, but of the shape. Old Blade was larger, red... Old Red carried a story... Kauyon has a hard time remembering..."
-
Well if you don't know, i sure won't know. She giggled. I'm new here, all of this. She outstretched her arms towards the city. Is brand new to me, even it's people, I've... never seen a robot before. She finally seems to stand back and admire him. Pretty cool. She smiled.
-
"Kauyon... isn't... a robot...?" He seemed to ponder. "head hurts... Kauyon doesn't like when head hurts...." He fell to one knee, holding his head in his hands.
-
Uhhh you ok? She seemed hesitant to touch him.
-
After a moment, he seemed to retrieve his bearings. "sorry... Kauyon has pain sometimes when remembering something difficult."
