Why do 3 guns make up 46% of the kills in trials?

Im not here to cry OP or Nerf Plz but i just think it's kind of saddening to see nearly half of all players use these three guns (MIDA, TLW, 1KYS)
you would like to think there would be a large number of viable options that arent these 3. I understand the thousand yard is the only realistic option for rez sniping but still.
Thoughts?

Just went flawless and ran into 2 team of MIDA/1KDS only and 2 teams of TLW/1KYS only.
Shoutout to the team we ran into that was using fusion rifles and the guy with the First Curse.

MIDA is a great gun, and pairs well with shotguns which are still doing extremely well, even though I thought they'd be nerfed into obscurity. A lot of the time, MIDA is being used by someone who is also using a conspiracy theory-D. Watch out for that, because it handles mid to long range in the primary slot, and the special is self serving as a close range power house. TLW and 1kys both pair [b][i]very[/i][/b] well together, because you have all range needs met. The close to medium range, even though you'll be using TLW more for close than anything else. And 1kys is the mid to long range problem solver. Couple this with literally any heavy you're effective with (quillim's terminus, ruin wake, any of the swords, or a good rocket launcher) and you've got a deadly loadout. You have to remember, people aren't playing for fun, they're playing to win, to try and be the best. What point is there in trying out different weapons if these ones are tried and true, right? The Omolon scout that was being sold last night that I'm very excited to see based just on stats alone because it's the Jade Rabbit/jade rabbit impact/rate of fire variant. I'm hyped af to see it, actually. My favorite archetype of scout is back, so now, let's just hope we see it with good perks.

Happens with everything. A select few weapons outperform everything else. It happens in Destiny and any other game whether that be League of Legends and even Pokémon. So people are using what's going to get them the most kills.

4 RepliesWell, they are the best guns atm, as Bungie either nerfed all the guns to challenge these or left them in year 1. People use the best guns, especially when one of them was sold directly before iron banner started by xur.

7 RepliesMida's hair trigger perk should be removed IMO because elite controllers are already tweaked for the hair trigger. With Mida it'll make it shoot even faster. That is my opinion for it only, there are other scouts that can and do compete with it

When three weapons make up that many of the kills in Trials, every other weapon must be complete shit in comparison. In order to fix this, Bungie simply needs to leave the current weapons be, while buffing everything else. IT'S NOT HARD.

And generally most players gravitate to what is the easiest to use not the most difficult. People do not want challenge they want simple easy quick game play. Not slow long drawn out games.

Thoughts? Long range map..equals mida or sniper. Last word is for the guy that think he can get close enough to shot gun,only to find out he forgot the guy had last word equipped

That usually when a game a has plenty of similar weapons but certain ones are more powerful and everyones uses them. Destiny,the master of balancing!

8 Repliesat least MIDA is in there otherwise it would just be TLW and 1KYS because they nerfed Pulse so bad. Auto rifles are close need a little bit more of a buff imo. Also they should take the radar off in Trials and Fizzor is lobbying hard for this as well. You can't sit and hard scope so much without radar.

Mida is at 14% last word is at 9% and 1kys is at 22%. I use my pdx and it shreds people. 1kys is the only viable option for rez snipe so that's why so many people use it imo. I got the IB sniper which has the highest AA in the game and I prefer the 1kys over it.

Iron banner: https://guardian.gg/en/weapon-stats?platform=2&start=2015-12-29&end=2016-01-05&mode=19&activity=0 Its sitting at 12% of all kills while TLW is the next most used gun sitting at 5%. People are still in denial that this weapon isnt the most used gun in PvP at the moment though. Bungie hate when people gravitate towards a single gun so im sure as shit that it will get a nerf.
