Celeste had settled into this new world. She kept her mind busy as her body began to refuse her certain parts of her daily routine.
Running, sparing, extreme exercise in general.
She was also finding a new reliance in herself. It was harder to keep up with Matthius and Tiberius who were insistent on exploring the new world around them. A quest for some Hourglass in particular was fascinating for them. They had asked Celeste if she knew anything, but only the language was familiar to Celeste. She could hint to certain things, but never be entirely sure.
This only increased the young men's curiosity and her stress.
Today, she sought a sort of leeway in her fragile position. Despite her pregnancy she would leave the safety of Rykers mansion and head off to the Terra's government offices. Celeste was an astute learner and knew she could take back her sisters position. At least it would keep her busy.
Her appointment with Ocorvus was prompt. There was a gathering of eyes to catch a glimpse of the "sister" of Nikki. The fact that Celeste looked nothing like her darker sister only spurred more curiosity from the city. She was liked a hushed celebrity since not many knew of her appearance and still so many others wanted that information on the low.
In the office the lights were dimmer and all of the Windows had their curtains drawn. Ocurvus stood and directed the lady to a seat. He was a impressed. It couldn't be helped. She held herself with a presence that could make any noble bow. She wasn't just pretty, she was beautiful.
And she was his enemy.
Jealousy seethed within Ocurvus, yet he remained entirely composed. They discussed several documents and he explained that there were some she would never have access to. More discussion on the position he held and state of the government, etc. and soon she was content and ready to go.
Celeste was pleasant and sweet in her goodbye as she left.
As the doors closed Ocurvus frowned. "I want to know everything she does. Whatever she is seeking, whatever she is learning."
A shadow moved... "Yes master." Came a metallic reply.

Ryker wouldn't let his most important thing is life currently just wander around. He had followed Celeste there, waiting, and then following her as she began her journey back to make sure she was safe.
-
Celeste left the building lobby with instance. She was not perturbed by the eyes that followed her every move. That was until she got outside. Caught unawares by Rykers presence, she thought she felt him nearby as she paused before stepping into the vehicle. Thinking back she remembered he had been busy with something. She waved off the thought. Inside she settled into her seat and a shadow manifested in the compartment. She was not impressed as the two bodyguards nearly knocked the wind out of the figure and held him down. Quietly it wailed that it was not there to harm, but to warn. "What should I be warned of?" The shadowy figure trembled. "I will die for this. Do not look for me. My Master Ocurvus is part of a cult. They have a plan. I don't know who his associate priest is, but they are building something horrible. You... You've been digging. You found something. They will watch you, then they will come for you. You must stop them!" "So maybe I have. Why won't they bargain?" "No trust. No trust at all. Hate and more hate. They only wish to destroy. You wish to rebuild, cannot associate the two." "You'll die soon right? Are we being followed?" "Yes and no. They do not know I am here. They will find out though." As the vehicle hit a more populated section of town they released the figure with no other questions. "Head home, this is all to wearisome for the moment."
-
Ryker watches the whole thing, flying near the car and listening. "Hm...." What was she doing? He decided to continue following her.
-
Once home Celeste was escorted back to the house. There she reclined on a couch and thought through what had happened.
-
Ryker walks through the front door in normal attire, pretending nothing had happened. "Oh hey Celeste!"
-
Woken from her thoughts she sounds a little surprised. "Oh hello Ryker!" She looks up over the couch. "Bacon and ice cream, please?" She says mischievously.
-
He laughs. "Bacon and ice cream? Alright I'll make some, anything for you." He smiles.
-
She smiles and settles into the couch. "Oh have you seen Matthius and Tiberious?"
-
"Oh they're off playing video games or something.." He smiles as he begins to make the bacon.
-
"Oh, I didn't feel them around. I know I need to stop worrying about them... But..." She shakes her head. "Ryker what do you know about Ocurvus?"
-
"The uh... Government guy? Not much." He shrugs as he finishes he bacon and gets the ice cream.
-
"Oh," she says thoughtfully. Sitting up she pauses for a second to think.
-
He pauses. "Celeste, why did you go see him."
-
"Something wrong?" He looks over at her as he hands her a bowl of ice cream and bacon.
-
"Ah~ Oh? No.... I don't think so. More like... Mmm," she takes a bite. "More like he's hiding something I think."
-
"Ah... And what would that be." He sits next to her, putting a hand on her knee.
-
She squints a little. Thinking deeply she begins. "I've been looking up the accounting. There is a discrepancy... Or two. Not that they are just underhanded, but certain items with regular use that should last a decent amount of time are being replaced." Another bite. "Plus some other silly things. Anyway, I need a job."
-
"I can always give you a job..." Ryker looked over at her.
-
She waves him off. "No, I want my sisters job. Command an army again like I used to." "What would you have me do anyway?" She says mockingly as she takes another bite.
-
"Well... Do things around my shop, I could give you a very high up position... Command most of my company.. Order shipments, control factory productions..." He smiles.
-
Celeste shakes her head and smiles mischievously. "Ha! And have you over my shoulder all of the time! No way. And anyway, I need to reclaim what was my sisters." Her face became solemn. "Ryker... She's going to come back. Right?"
-
Rykers face became grim. "She will Celeste. She's very strong, if I know Nikki at all." He smiles. "Nikki and I were very close."
-
She nods and places the empty bowl down. Sidling next to Ryker she places her head into his chest. "I miss her. I've never been this far from my Pillar. At least since she acquired me. We're so far away, I can't feel her anymore. Like I think she's still alive... I want her to be."

-
Celeste sighed. She was still a little worried. There was much kept from her. The Pillars were not forthcoming with information. Deep down she knew something worse was coming. Matthius and Tiberius might just be that last line of defense. She pressed a little more into Rykers chest as she wished her worries away. Then she fell asleep.
