Stormcaller (using landfall)
- can activate in the air and it immediately kills anyone above or below you.
- blinds enemies
-landfall pops titan bubbles at no cost to super energy(yes the perk must be selected but theres an exotic so you can double dip in the perk tree)
- you get to roam for 20+ seconds after
- longest melee range in game gets extended even further
- can use blink and landfall with exotic
-50% damage resistance
Fist of Havoc
-can be activated in the air, but doesnt do damage until you hit the ground
-can also pop titan bubble but at the cost of the entire super with nothing left after.
- shortest melee in the game(but it does more damage than a regular melee and titans can spec for shoulder charge)
-unstoppable will provide +2 armor making it very difficult to die for about a 3 second animation.
-foh is often a suicide mission because after the super there is a standing up animation where anyone you missed can easily shoot you down.
So stormcaller is a slightly less powerful fist of havoc that blinds enemies and pops titan bubbles (at no cost to their super) then has 18-24 seconds to roam around after.
PLEASE explain how this is balanced
Quick comparison of super kill potential
Golden gun - 3 in an ideal scenario, 4 rarely
Arc blade - 2-3, 4-5+ in rare cases
Shadowshot - 1-2, 3-4 in rare cases
Foh - 1-2 (rarely can be 4+)
Bubble - n/a
Hammers - 2-3 average, 4-5 rarely
Nova bomb - 1-2 (same as foh)
Sunsinger - 1-2 (more depending on player skill)
Stormtrance - 3-4 average, 5+ in an ideal scenario (landfall can net 2+ kills, pop bubbles and set up a few more with damaged and blinded enemies. Then 18-24 seconds to roam and get another 3+)
Let me ask you this, how many times has a stormcaller killed you twice in the same super? I cant count the number of times it's happened to me.
Yet I dont think ive ever been killed by the same golden gun, arc blade, sunsinger etc...
-Imo the damage of landfall should be reduced and the blinding effect increased. It shouldn't be getting triple kills, it should set up triple kills.
-The duration with transcendence should be reduced, it does regen health AND increase super duration.(sunsingers have a perk that only increases super duration and it isnt nearly as effective)
-Melee range with the range increasing perk should be reduced SLIGHTLY.

6 RepliesHow about instead of nerfing a balanced super, buff the others.
-
2 RepliesArcblade you're lucky to get 2 kills. It sucks after all the nerds and the broken hit detection
-
1 ReplyNerf everything. Give us sticks to fight with.
-
1 ReplyWith a SunSinger, I always get 3 kills in Skirmish: it just depends how effectively you use it.
-
2 RepliesNo other super could pulled this off http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/UNIT%20242/video/14770690 Fist and nova are one shots, Bladedancer would have run out or would have died to the guy behind me GG doesn't have that many shots and I would have died to the guy behind me Hammers need time to travel and I would have run out of time Tether doesn't have that many shots and can't shoot behind me for the first guy Bubble is well bubble I held my trigger and looked at people while wearing the only gloves made for my subclass, such skill, many kills, wow

2 RepliesVery nice point, although Stormcaller is easy to kill you've made an excellent point. Activating landfall should cost some of your super bar because of the insane time limit using " transcendence " it's kinda silly and I've been killed by same Stormcaller max of 3 times on " the drifter " it's stupid no other super has EVER killed me more than 1 time

1 ReplyIn-Depth Seminar on the 62+ different types of supers that can kill a defender coming soon! Here is a teaser video of what will be included. There are over 220 clips I need to gather so it will be a short while before I am finished. It will cover virtually EVERYTHING though :)

8 RepliesEdited by Aqua: 2/3/2016 5:17:54 PMA retard comparing Striker to Stormcaller. Half your points are about landfall. It's a perk. It's not going away any time soon.
-
1 ReplyI don't know. Ward had kill potential. Pop it and watch the try hards without super enter and get melted. Hell sometimes even a GG runs into a bubble with armor and I just smh. Hammers and stormcaller are the same way. See them come in. Throw supressors at your feet and watch them get super confused. I think you should put 2-3 in an ideal scenario to ward of dawn.

19 RepliesEdited by XxWilson71xX: 1/27/2016 6:56:20 AMDo not forget Showstopper on blade dancer It allows multiple aoe damage fields the same size as landfall Which is less than fish of havoc And yes I have been killed by the same hammer, golden gun, arc blade, and nightstalker twice The maps are small The only way to fully avoid it is to play big maps Another consequence of small maps is hammer can get at least 4 kills per super, it absolutely has the same potential

1 ReplyEdited by Atlas Enderium: 1/21/2016 7:51:17 PMTrancendance is a perk that increases the Roam time to: 20 seconds. It is usually 16 seconds.

6 RepliesYou can't compare FOH to StormC, void walker is the one close to FoH and Hammer of Sol to StormC. God

3 RepliesThe problem with storm caller is it's very easy to shut down. Sniper head shot and they're done. You can hear then coming and aim ahead of time. Unless the player is above average and can really use ionic blink well. I've been shut down as much as I've gotten multiple kills when using it.
-
4 RepliesStriker is a shutdown. Storm trance is a roaming super. Very different.

1 ReplyEdited by Heidegger: 1/15/2016 10:41:51 PMYour a warlock and your complaint about stormcaller...3-4 kills average, what kind of idiots are you fighting in the crucible these days lol. Any titan or warlock with foh or nova bomb is coming right to your face. PS. Why make a warlock if your just going to complain about a subclass(that has a weak neutral game compared to the other to choices) Edit: Dieing twice to the same super just shows how shitty the spawns are in this game. Edit 2: did you know since stormcaller isn't an instant kill its the worst roaming super in the game when matched against the others lol. Can't tell you how many golden guns they eat in the face and the teammates who were following them right behind behind them. Edit 3: they might beat out sunsinger but thatdepend thatdepend on the situation, if the sunsinger has radiant skin/ram/solar chest piece they can tank some serious damage and kill you in 1 fusion grenade with a melee hit.
-
5 RepliesAnother half baked comment because some dude got butt hurt from getting killed in the crucible. The classes are way more balanced than your very specific simpleminded and anecdotal point of view. Muted.
-
8 RepliesThis whole post is terrible. You can't compare a roaming super to a one time use super. I don't know about you, but when i use fist of havoc or novabomb it's usually a breaker. Kill potential depends on skill. I've plenty stormcallers who couldn't give out shock therapy to save their life, literally. The absolute only issue with SC is the duration. The end.

5 RepliesPlease, STOP comparing Landfall to Fist of Havoc. For Fist of Havoc to be effective, one must: 1. Find a collection of guardians. 2. Approach them from a hidden/guarded direction, or approach head on. 3. Turn corner and press RB+LB, without worrying about being close to them when activating, knowing the jump will carry them forward. 4. Profit. For Landfall to match the scope of Fist of Havoc, one must: 1. Find a group of guardians. 2. Approach them from a secret opening in the wall above them, so as the be hidden and yet directly on top of them at the same time. 3. Press LB+RB, while making sure to stay directly over them. 4. Drop down and hope to kill those who survive, because the radius was not enough to clear all guardians. 5. Profit/Die from a threat that still exists. Please, feel free to debate me. I will agree that Landfall shouldn't pop a defenders bubble, so don't bring that up.
-
2 RepliesYour argument that ST is the only roaming super with a AOE is wrong. Hammers can have a sunspot that does AOE damage over time
-
2 RepliesExcept Storm Trance is garbage without Ionic Blink and Trancendance active.
-
1 ReplyYour comparing a counter super to an assault super Granted right now it seems storm caller is op at the moment but thats more of a bungies poor map design
-
3 RepliesWhat simpletons like you don't understand about Stormcaller is that 1: you need to spec for transcendence to have long super duration, unlike any subclass 2: you need to give up using your grenades and melee to activate Transcendence and 3: landfall isn't comparable to a Titan smash, both have a much different damage radius when cast. Before you go on the forums trying to get another subclass nerfed for your own pleasure, analyze the facts first maybe. It's people like you that make this game stagnant, stop complaining about things that don't need fixing and start complaining about what matters, like better server connections.
-
31 RepliesSo Stormcaller has been like this since launch but no one complained at all, everyone was not using it and people like you said it was shit..... Sunbreaker gets nerfed and there have been no changes to Stormcaller to make it better but now everyones saying it's OP even though yet again nothing was changed, so eventually Bungie will nerf it and it will be classed as the worst super going. Dumbass's like this OP is the reason why Destiny is getting real shitty lately.

It last too long... Everything else is fine.... It's a simple fix every roaming super should last the same amount of time BD GG HoS SC radiance
