Longest and shortest campaign you've played?
Okay #Gaming, what's the longest and shortest campaign you've played in your span of games? How long/short did it take you to beat it? Some campaigns I remember took me about 3 hours to beat (weren't good games at all) but some took me a long time to beat. Share your experiences below

Longest: Mass Effect. You needed 3 games to beat the campain.

Longest: Red Dead Redemption (granted, I got very sidetracked). Shortest: Dishonored. It seemed really short IMO, probably because I was eager to find out which ending I got.

Some NES games only took 20-30 minutes (or less) to beat once you knew what you were doing. Contra, Strider, Super Mario Bros, etc. The longest campaign is up for debate. In a linear, non-open world RPG? Probably Final Fantasy 2(4). My fastest time was about 20 hours, but my original game with level 70 characters was somewhere around 50 hours (including lots of grinding). I'm sure there are other RPGs with some lengthy main story paths. The most time I've put into an open world game was Fallout New Vegas, with one save at 130+ hours, though my Dragon Age Inquisition play through took at least 100 hours. Both of those games had tons of side content though... Skyrim took me about 7 hours from being in a cart, to killing a dragon on a mountain. Yes there's a lot more to that game, but that was the campaign. As for a shooter, Rage was one of the longest I've played, at about 10 hours. But that was mixed with a semi-open world and RPG elements. Wolfenstein TNO had that same vibe (but less freedom). Adventure games can take anywhere from 4-20 hours. Thinking of Uncharted, TLOU and Tomb Raider. I'd probably give the title of longest campaign to the adventure games, since almost all RPG pad their lengths with a lot of level grinding. Then again, some adventure games pad their time with lengthy unskippable cut scenes and locations where your movement is restricted in some way (walking, injured, sneaking, etc.). I'm sure there are some long ones I'm totally forgetting. I spent two weeks playing the Mass Effect Trilogy, but that game had so much going on beside the main plot/campaign. I've probably put a good 50 hours into Starflight (Genesis version), but if you knew exactly what to do (and with some luck), I think you could beat the game in under an hour. And now I'm rambling as usual.

Shortest-metroid zero mission Longest-oblivion (I'm also counting the guild campaigns, those were just wow)

Skyrim is the longest and I still haven't fully explored every inch yet. Metroid Prime on Snes is the shortest that I remember, my best time is 1 hour 55 minutes.

Shortest: Destiny TTK, vanilla is longer which is still sad Longest: I put 68 hours total on one character in Mass Effect 2 on my first play through But that was doing everything. Other than that I would say Assassin's Creed, took me the longest that I can think of.

Shortest would be FC3: Blood Dragon. Had 100% completion in 4:34, including all collectibles and achievements in addition to the campaign. Longest would probably be Final Fantasy XII, which I've put a good 26 hours into. I'm only about 50% done. I don't play very many RPGs, so that's long for me.

Shortest was Star Wars Force Unleashed 2. Took me about 6 hrs to beat Longest that was just a story with no side quest was God of War 2. Maybe it was because I was younger but man that game went forever.

Shortest. Probably Destiny TTK to be honest. It was way to short and I beat it in like 4 hours Longest. SWTOR. It took me like 6 months to get my main to level 50. But I was like 11 so.

Hyperdimension Neptunia V took about 40 hours. i have an account on Dark Souls 2 with 100+ hours on it (also got platinum)
