So when did Mida become the new Thorn?
It's a shame that ppl flock to an OP weapon instead of variety. Is there a name you give to player that just flock to the newest OP weapon?

It's not OP. The only weapon I think is the best is.... im not even gonna say it.

It never did, as it's not op at all, nowhere near old thorn. Hell, it's not even exceptionally good.

Ill just clarify for you all that im not good im mediocre at best but mida is in no way comparable to thorn. Ive never seen someone shoot me twice with mida and walk away thinking its ok the burn will get him. Get into medium close range with a bullet hose and see how mida fares because things get harder to hit when all you see is bullets hitting your face. Medium long , hit him with a sniper. Ive started using a sniper with high fire rate autos and seem to be doing ok against mida. Crucible will always have a meta but im seeing more variety in the last 2-3 months than in a year. Midas not op you just need to lift your game.

6 RepliesFirst of all MIDA requires 4 headshots vs Thorns 2 headshots. Mida is best suited medium to long range. So get in the MIDA users face with TLW, or any close range weapon like a high RoF ssault rifle!

It's actually not OP, just overused. Doesn't mean it's right, I hate the meta. I just want everything to be viable instead of feeling like it's detrimental to use anything outside of a set few..

Every Nerf something eles becomes the new op weapon. Why because bungie sucks at balance. A fix would be to leave mida alone and buff autos and hand cannons. Not the last word though. They are fine.

Mida is not OP; it can counter snipers when paired with Radiant Dance machines, but it loses in close range like it should

I've been looking forward to this for a long time. We who understand that PvP is in a solid place, that scouts and sniper take more skill, who appreciate autos are now viable, should not get mad at these ignorant posts. When they announced the 2 big weapon updates from Sep and Dec and the thorn/shotgun blinkers were going to be pissed we said we would bask in their tears. I have been looking forward to your post, and all others like it, since April/May last year. And by god this is great

It's not? Way back when, thorn could only be countered by another OP gun (TLW, hawkmoon), I can counter MIDA with literally anything.

1 ReplyYou need some more PvP experience if you believe MIDA is anywhere near as OP as Thorn was back in its two-shot and forget days. Overused, maybe but not overpowered. And people are slowly leaving MIDA in their Vault. They're starting to realize it's not the OP crutch weapon they thought it would be.

Lol, MIDA is OP ? Yes it is. But ONLY because every single other weapons in the game has been nerfed to oblivion thanks to crybabies. MIDA never changed nor was buffed except for that one time where it did get high-caliber rounds.

I'm actually starting to like my Fabian strategy. I equipped it as a joke because everyone was using mida and last word and I've been doing fairly decent with it.

It's just people trying out a new weapon. The mida-TLW meta seemed to die out.
