What exactally is the "VidMaster" achievement in Marathon: Durandal?
I've been wondering for a while what exactly it is you have to do to unlock this achievement. Does anyone know? Or even better, do any of you have it?

Dang, now I've got to get some MS points.[/quote]If you are interested in Marathon, but aren't sure you want to spend the Microsoft dollars to acquire the XBLA version, you can download all three games in the series from [url=http://source.bungie.org/get/]source/bungie.org[/url]. All three games are completely free and compatible with PC, Mac, or Linux.

vidmastery is not an achievement, it is an aqquirement. true vidmastery is style. style involves skill, not dying and just general awesomeness. awesomeness involves killing everything and completely dominating the opposition when you are greatly outnumbered and greatly outgunned. the greatest test of vidmastery is multiplayer, as it much more difficult playing against sentient opponents than against the computer.

To get the Vidmaster achievement in Marathon 2: Durandal on the X-box live arcade, you must do several things... 1.) Beat the game on Total Carnage 2.) Punch all Switches (do not use the "activate" button to hit any switches or it won't unlock. Some you can switch with various guns, but do not use the use key. 3.) Never Leave a Single Bob Alive. That means, kill them all or let them teleport out, but if one is left alive on a level, you don't get the achievment. One note that will make it easier for you to get, is that you don't have to play the entire game through on Total Carnage to get the achievement. You can start at "The Big House" and still get it. You can also get it by playing Co-op. In a co-op game, if one person screws up the switch part, it doesn't affect everyone else, you can still get it. Hope that helps.
