Edit: Several people pointed out that I could have just let go of the trigger to stop spinning. While this is true, it was ~1:00 AM when this happened, and I was too tired to notice what was going on. I only noticed at around the 16 second mark and at that point I was just stunned about what was happening and the first thing that came to mind was to self-destruct my sparrow with it's boost.
Edit 2: We've been trending. I got my S Class today!

You can go from 1st to 6th by just barely being grazed by another player (which can send your Sparrow into wacky bug mode), and in many cases isn't even done on purpose by the opposing racer. Some just bumble their way to 'victory'. If you want to win, stay away from other players, especially when they're bunched up - or as my brother calls them, "The ball of stupid".

When that happens you just let go of the acceleration or jump off. You only kept spinning because you didn't let off the gas.

I love the invisible walls and corner, especially that stupid windmill of a fan in Mars that tends to have a mind of its own to get you stuck and carry you until you explode of lose your first place and end up being last. I love it really. Have you noticed how laggers effect the rotation of the fans, yup, them fan blades be doing the crucible teleportation move on you, seriously I love it.

I feel like this may have been somewhat intentional but it was still pretty funny

What I noticed, might be just me, but when I'm in 6th my sparrow is increased. Like I can take turns better and not take any wide turns. If this is so that if you're last handling is increased it shouldn't be this. If you're last you're last there shouldn't be any favoritism or crutch if your last. Also if you're first handling is decreased and sometimes it's tough to hit some gates when you're sparrow is speeding into a gate nearly hitting the wall or clip a rock. This should be adjusted if Sparrow racing is to become a thing.

One of the problems their is that your using the Graverobber/ overdrive sparrow, using that kind of sparrow is risky and hard to use

Last two wins on Mars was a BEAST because most knew how to race. Filled it up though!!! Switched primary to TLW and started working on Jolly Holliday quest in the last few hours. Took it from 0% to 92 %. Had to take a break in the middle of the quest fora while (due to unforeseen issues in the household). Could've gotten to 100% on that sucker with 3 more races!!! EDIT... To whoever it was that I muted because of the *I did it bigger/better/faster* post (I love to mute those types of things): I didn't bother checking your k/d. Doesn't matter to me in the least. I KNOW it has to better than my sorry excuse of a k/d. Check mine and you'll see that some of us need EVERY advantage we can get! :) Have a good day sir.
