Either way, cheater or just bad connection, it is no wonder player count seems to be dropping. It is also understandable when you see "__________ has left the game" followed by "____________ has left the game" a few more times.
Gotta love pumping head shot after head shot into someone & they take literally no damage...
The other side to that, when you get DC'd, and one of their past "fixes" was to contact your ISP... thx Bungie, this game is literally the only one I have that does this crap, but it is our connections that is to blame...

lmao I remember stabbing some dude over and over and over and over, must of been about 20 times, then it was bop, he exploded me and my team mate, and got a ten kill streak

Soon or later they will understand that the community makes the success of a game. Without the community, there is no MMOFPS... The core base players of DESTINY plays PVP, if they leave the game, destiny won't survive 9 more years with only the casual gamers playing the PVE...
-
The problem is that they want this MLG-type PVP game, but also seem to want some huge story PVE game, and instead of being great at one or the other, they're failing at both. Miserably.

9 months until Destiny, I wonder if they are aware about all this and what are they planning to change it...
-
I'm sure they are aware, as it has been 15 months now. Hopefully the next installment brings with it dedicated servers... not holding my breath, but wishful thinking.

How dedicated servers can keep us away from lag switch cheaters ??

Edited by xpctR3sistanc3: 12/28/2015 7:18:05 PMWell, I'm not an expert by any means at gaming servers, but, it seems that if Bungie had total control over the servers that we played on, they'd be able to monitor, and have safeguards in place for that. If someone has a normal connection, then they start lagging, ping goes all crazy, they could be instantly booted. I could be way off here, but doesn't seem like it would be impossible to implement on dedicated servers.

I see thanks for the explanations and I hope you're right about that dedicated servers are actually making their in DESTINY
