Questions about the HALO: REACH BETA?

Here's what you should know:
+ [b]You get an invitation to the BETA for buying the game, NOT pre-ordering.[/b]
+ You will be able to download the BETA in the Spring of next year.
+ And the BETA will be downloadable from the Extras menu in ODST.

+ Also, there is NO confirmed release date. Just sometime in the Spring.

Since a few questions keep popping up, I thought I'd answer them.
+ The BETA has NO confirmed release date.
+ The game is an FPS.
+ There has not been any talk of how long the BETA will last. However, if it's like the Halo 3 BETA, expect it to last about 2-3 weeks.
+ 'New Intel' Is the extras menu.

The Reach BETA is supposed to be Multiplayer only, no campaign.

Thank you, good post. I haven't been on here in a while. In fact, my xbox is broke so I have been away from the video game world for a month or 2. I came on to see if there was a confirmed release on the reach beta yet. I see sometime in the spring... I am looking forward to the beta as well as project Natal that MS is working on. Hopefully Halo reach will be a little better than ODST. Kind of a let down for me... I have been enjoying MW2 so will be interesting to see what Bungie does with Reach to combat it...

well halo reach have a modes like map making and modes that let you make your own movie with out have to play in a game just put people in and tell them what to do and a mode that lets you make your own mode and have a mode that would have you fight the flood or something and you would be going map to map intead of staying in one map

i had started to play my halo 3 and as i was at the main menu an intel item had popped up stating that the halo reach beta had been ready for playing and was availabe at the odst main menu as i proceeded to odst only the reach trailer was available in the intel section with the date 12/13. is there a reason that i cannot access the beta now even though the intel at halo 3's main menu said it was?

I'll be honest. I've gotten kinda tired of people posting "Use google" because in reality, how many times have you google'd something and found the answer in a forum thread? Wouldn't it be a LOT more annoying if every time you searched for something, all you got was a sea of links to threads that were "answered" by smart-asses saying "google that"? I know that it will never happen,but I really wish as I did with Halo 3's beta that they will keep it around until a little while after the game launches.While I remembered and noticed many changes after launch I would loved to have been able to boot up the beta and compare it to the full game.I'm certain this will not happen,but I can always hope.

From what I found on [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_Reach]wiki[/url], wiki's source [url=http://kotaku.com/5425454/bungie-donation-points-to-halo-reach-multiplayer-in-may-]here[/url], the beta wont start until after April 28 although this may not be true. And it has only been confirmed for the Spring, not the start of Spring. EDIT: The BR has not been confirmed in the game and i doubt it will be considering that BUNGIE is trying to eliminate guns that would provide the same role/purpose. However, the DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) is a single shot and does have a 14 round mag but not the one shot kill that i know of [Edited on 02.02.2010 10:06 AM PST]

i heard that the BR now only has 14 shots and thhat there is a POWER shot that u can activate and its a ONE HIT KILL!!! also i really didnt like the MOTION RADAR on the spartan laser that i saw on the leaked pics i think its copycating MW2 maybe not but thats how people will see it!! needler rifle looks preatty decent looking 4ward to it!!! People r expecting alot from this GAME so please bungie do ur BEST!! Because this is the game that will change how people look at HALO!!!!
