No training or anything. A three minute Montage of her looking up the force in dictionary set to hearts on fire would've made more since. Will Ferrells sudden ability to use martial arts at the end of get hard had more exposition and made more since than rey suddenly besting kylo ren in everything including force use, Saber wielding, and mind reading. They even threw in some -blam!- alegory for the feminists out there. Kylo Ren could've been great but he was whiny bitch. Apparently J.J. Abrams thinks the type of anger that creates sith is the "wears my binky!?!?" type of anger. Ren throws 3 temper tantrums in the movie. At the end of the day the development of rey's powers reminds me of women's rights. She didn't sweat or bleed for it, she didn't earn it, it was just given which ales wholly uninteresting.
