I think Rey is suppossed to be lukes daughter so it would make sense that she would be naturally gifted in the force like luke and anakin.

Yeah, but you don't just master force techniques without knowing them because you are "naturally gifted".

She's a special case Star Wars: episode 7 the force awakens And the line
there has been an awakening
I'm pretty sure the next movie will touch on this more Luke might explain it to her when they finish their staring contest.

Consider Snoke's words, "there has been an awakening", what do you suppose he meant?

I feel like a "Master" of the force or any force techniques would've gotten out of the situation the first time, or better yet not have gotten in them at all. She knew about the force, she knew the lightsaber had called to her, she was just trying it, it was sorta do or die, it failed the first few times.

Edited by Divine Thunder2: 12/27/2015 12:31:30 PMI guess, but it seems like an asspull that she knows all these force techniques without even explaining why or how in the movie. And if she did know about the force before and how to use it, why didn't she try using it in other situations earlier on in the movie when she could have needed it?
