Halo ODST sequel ideas
I may be one of the few whose favorite Halo game was actually ODST. In hopes that some day 343 answers my prayers I'd just like to list things the game should have. Feel free to add your own ideas
-long, good, and memorable campaign
-likable and memorable characters
-new team of odsts
-good coop features (for example halo 5s team pick rather than just master chief clones)
-tons of customization with different types of ODST armor to make your own badass ODST
-huge explorable map
-stealthy noir setting again
-mix of stealthy and classic halo combat
-return of firefight with new modes maybe even an infection type firefight (different from cod zombies)
-forge mode to make firefight maps and maybe even player made levels
-try to stick to mainly coop but maybe add pvp game modes too
-taking place during halo 3 or shortly after the human covenant war
-sick drop pod action
-tons of different environments and weather to battle in
-tons of new and classic weapons
-tons of new and classic vehicles (pls add a unsc air vehicle)
-tons of collectible to find
-theatre mode
-file browser
-ads feature
-built in sprint
-lots of unlocks

3 RepliesHow about this. Halo ODST 2 Setting: Reach. After the planet has regrown it's life hundreds of years later as we see in the end of Halo Reach. The UNSC sends an ODST team to secure multiple drop points across the planet to begin setting up stations again. You play as one of five ODST troops as they are dropped in and fight the new indigenous life along with the Covenant left after Halo 3. They would have their own bases set up across Reach and your team has to take down specific enemy positions to allow for a large scale troop movement to take back the planet fully. This would allow an open world Halo game to happen as we take back Reach and make it feel like Farcry by taking back enemy bases, but each base is a mission in the campaign instead. Anytime your team approaches the base they can try to call in reinforcements but that will cause enough suspicion from the covenant base that they will bring in more troops of their own. Or you can try to stealth your way into the base and wipe out all opposition without raising the alarm. It probably sounds pretty confusing but in my head this sounds like it would be an awesome sequel and a great direction they could take the ODST name instead of the Spartan focused TV drama

4 RepliesIn the lore everyone but Buck dies which is why he is in fireteam Osiris. Buck believed he was responsible their deaths so he requested a transfer. Halo 5 is your sequel.

Reach would have been up there if the campaign was a wee bit longer, but it's not much farther behind. Which brings me to my idea, that is a game about Noble team before Halo Reach. Always wanted something like that to flesh out the team. Sadly I don't care for it now, I don't like 343 and the direction they are taking halo in in any way. The dream is still a nice one though.
