You too? Come on tartan, what do you think? I love it! I can understand people's criticisms, but I don't think they're as bad as people are making out.

At the moment: 8/10. Really cool, but not flawless. Just structurally all too similar to IV. Plus I had little niggles here and there: for example, I found Finn's doubt way too convenient. None of the other Stormtroopers had personality yet this one dude suddenly up and ditches all his buddies and even shoots them up in a TIE fighter? I think my main problem with Star Wars overall is my expectation of something a little more cerebral. But the franchise is basically a rip-snorting space adventure, nothing more. It's a damn good one, but nothing thought-provoking.

I dunno, I've found a few things to think over. The Star Killer stuff in my thread, but also Kylo Ren. So many people have said they "lost the feeling" with him when he took off his mask... But I think seeing that he's just a scared lost little boy inside is even scarier than someone calm and collected like Vader or Dooku. You've seen his temper tantrums, how bad is he gonna be when his training is complete?

Oh, there's plenty to mull over. I felt really iffy about Ben's seduction to the Dark Side, but I'm guessing either we'll find out more, or maybe he was just a weak Jedi. Link me to your Starkiller thread. I wasn't impressed by the concept of 'oh, let's make a Death Star, but this time make it capable of taking out multiple planets!' Visual design was cool, though.

Definitely like the design, it's the mechanics I don't get. The links in my first post. I think Ben was basically just week minded. I'm pretty sure Snook isn't even a Sith, he just took advantage of a young, confused teenager and warped him. I really think Kylo wanted to go home with Han, or at least part of him did. I'm not sure he's all evil even now.
