Origin of "can i haz recon?"
As this is now a widespread saying all around both the world and the internet, where did it originate from?
if anyone knows please inform me, i would like to know.
And Bungie if you care to search the forms and find the first posting if it that would be so NOT lazy of you.

I believe it came from one of the first 2 people to get RECON: The sniper suicide or the traffic cone splatter. Frankie, back when he used to work with Bungie, drew a mister chief character with recon on saying "I can haz Recon?!" to emphasize their surprise. Or something up that alley. There was a website that had a motto "Can i has cheeseburger?" And when recon came people started saying can i has rec0nz?

Well, obviously the internet meme "I can haz" has been around awhile, probably from LOLCats "I can has cheezburger" type stuff. People ask for Recon, what do you expect? I can haz Recon?

people kept asking"can i haz recon" to bungie. then bungie got pissed and made list of people who wont get it from a contest or as a reward(other than the vidmasters )cause they asked or it. [Edited on 09.30.2009 12:04 PM PDT]
