Increase Nightfall Minimum Light, Increase Light Level Rewards... right?

Let's face it: The general consensus is the Nightfall serves almost no purpose for endgame loot. It's about as logical as the Silver Tier package dropping better loot in Trials than the Lighthouse chest (but that's another topic for another day). That being said, why can't we as the community band together and get this changed? The Nightfall used to be a source of pride in Y1 and now it's a mere afterthought. So, help me out here. What should the minimum light be for the Nightfall? 300? 310? We all know gear should drop UP TO 320 light like in SRL and Trials. Merely sign below and help me... US... All out here. If you have any ideas, feel free to add them. Let's do something about this.

      I think the light minimum light level is alright, as you need some place to start, and outside of the raid and PvP monthly/weeklies, it's the only way to get over 300 gear, particularly ghosts. Going for higher level gear around 270-290 makes sense in that respect. But the loot system needs to be reworked, I think it should go something like this; your drop is between -5 and +10 whatever your light is. This as a rough scale would prevent 300+ people like me from getting 290s frequently, and help everyone have a shot at light progression. As well, finding a high light, good perk roll weapon becomes possible, instead of having to do multiple infusions from more luck attained weapons of high light to make gear usable.

        • I voted "Yes", but Waffle made a good point about it being intended to help raid prep. So I think the rewards could be better, but mostly capped at 310. Ghosts could drop higher, but at a lower frequency, as another user noted. That's my two cents.

          • Increase LL rewards based on players level and remove anything but 320 ghosts and turn their frequency down.

            • 300 is doable for most,and I think it would be nice to have an array of options for high level gear for those who have limited time. I've been using SRL for it, and it's been kind to me. I was at 300 for weeks, 308 now. If I can max out the helm and mark, and maybe that pesky ghost, I'll hit 315. I like options.

            • I think Bungie should rework their nightfalls to how they used to be, up the light level requirement a little bit to increase drop rate of higher level gear. Make a challenging nightfall that gives good loot.

                • Everyone should have a chance at 320. Not just "must have mic" raid freaks and "flawless lighthouse" trials nuts. Normal players should be able to get there too.

                  • This is supposed to be a place for lower levels to get gear that will help them get ready for activities like the raid or trails, his has been stated time and time again that its not for the end of the end game players. Thats why they removed the buff so ythe end game players didnt feel they [u]had[/u] to do It.

                  • The only good thing about nightfalls in year one was the rep/xp boost. If completing a nightfall didn't give me radiant light I'd never do them because I can get end game top tier weapons from the raids. It's as simple as that. Now they took away the ONLY relevant thing from completion of the nightfall

                    • Maybe scale it by 10's or have an average light level and scale the difficulty (add all 3 light levels and then divide by 3) But,that might create a light requirement that is ridiculous. (Elitists only letting 315+ in) So then,maybe make it 'higher light,more difficulty' So someone at 310 light would take more damage,and do less,but get better rewards then a 290 light level character. So maybe get light rewards 5-10 light better than the gear you have in that slot.
