[spoiler]For everyone who said "Han Solo survived!", here is the reason he didn't -
1. He was stabbed in the chest with a lightsaber
2. He fell into a seemingly bottomless abyss
3. Even if he did somehow survive that then the planet he fell into imploded and [u]literally[/u] turned into a sun.

Strangely enough, Darth Maul somehow survived being cut in half and falling a similar distance and reappeared in The Clone Wars series.
