Why nerfing warlock melee range(on stormcaller) would not be smart...

So it seems some people want the melee range on the stormcaller subclass nerfed..... As someone who loves all classes and has fun with all of them, I dont agree with this after thinking further than the melee range itself. Here is why: 1: it adds something extra to the melee skill tree. You have to choose it to get that range. 2: having that range on a melee makes a class diffrent from another one without talking about the super...there is almost no variety between classes already. 3: do you get an overshield from it? No instead it gives you range. 4: defenders and sunsingers get an overshield as a extra to the melee skill tree. 5: strikers get shoulder charge. 6: sunbreakers get health regen 7: BB hunters get increased melee range/increased damage from behind 8: gunslingers get trowing n's 9: nightstalkers get smoke bombs. 10: void walkers have health regen too So after reading this do you guys agree with me. That if you actually think further.... its just a bonus to the melee like other classes have them.... Edit: as you can see english is not my "main" language:)

Sunbreaker and Defender only have a MAXIMUM of 4.5m melee range. Bladedancer has 7m melee range. Nightstalker and Gunslinger has unlimited melee range. Voidwalker and Sunsinger has an 8m melee range, it use to be double the Titans range WTF. Stormcaller gets up to 11m melee range. WTF it does one hit kill. [b][u]Hunters and Warlocks don't ever have to get within of shotguns to use their melee abilities. WTF[/u][/b] BUT ALL TITANS HAVE TO GET CLOSER THEN THE SHORTEST RANGE SHOTGUNS TO USE MELEE. Warlocks and Hunters have NEVER had to know the pain of literally kissing your opponent to punch them. Warlocks and Hunters can just shut up about there melee range. Titans still needs a melee range buff.

          Do you realize we know if you main a character or play on that character more than your other characters? I know that your main is a stormcaller warlock for many reasons. First and most obvious is because you are complaing about a Nerf that bungie will 99.9% most likely not even consider. Second, your profile pic is a stormcaller and Third, your most played character is a warlock with 35 days, more than double you titan and hunters combined with 8 days on each.

        • We shouldn't have to worry about a Melee Range nerf considering Titans get 13 Armor for 10% less range on melee. Thunderstrike is longer becuase its fking lightning from our hands and its not that strong.

        • Everyone crying about warlock range is a hypocrite. I don't see any "nerf throwing knife" posts. But crying about warlock melee is a standard thing mainly for the weak titans. Your melee being -blam!-ing 1m is NOT our fault. Go cry to get your shit buffed not our abilities nerfed.

            You can't nerf the Warlocks grenades and Melee. They pull in the "cowardly and superstitious lot" of games who lack gun skill and need super powered 'nades and melees to succeed. :) I hate Warlocks. Edit: before this gets out of hand i just want to say i'm kidding. I really do hate Warlocks though....All that floofing around....pansies.

                • If your melee already has the range of a mid tier range SHOTGUN, then there is a huge issue there bud. When your punch travels farther than a gun, I've got some serious issues. Oh, and down below are some stats for you, shoulder charge range-7m blink strike-7m warlock regular melee-7m. Please tell me how this isn't retarded.

                    Stormcallers don't even kill on a melee hit unless the enemy is injured...what's the problem?

                  • Defender has to kill to get a sheild. Bungie made it (in an update) so that warlocks can get flame shield on hit. Which is flat out retarded.

                    • Defender melee requires a kill to give you an overshield, Shoulder Charge isn't Striker's main melee (Storm Fist), Sunbreaker health regen is triggered by all ability kills not just melee. Keep your Warlock melee, is what I'm saying, I wish Titans had more interesting/better melee choices (the only fun one is Shoulder Charge) too. Hunters get all the melee fun.

                      Range is fine. Lower damage. Titans get no range but most dmg, warlocks the opposite, hunters in the middle for both

                      • It needs a cooldown, so it isn't a problem imo. If they nerf it though, maybe make it a regular melee, but it chains nearby enemies. It'll solidify the stormcaller as the go-to add clearing class. Lawl.
