ODST repeat mission glitch/issue?
I hope someone may have an answer for me.
My issue is that I beat a mission and for some reason it brings me back to the first mission in the campaign. I can't seem to get past the 4th mission. Is anyone else having this issue or have a resolution to my problem?
I've even played through on easy from the first mission to the one it doesn't want to allow me to pass and I still can't seem to go past it.
Thanks for any help you may have to offer.
Also I have noticed that no matter what level I play on in firefight with my friends it is very choppy/laggy at certain times. They do not experience this choppy/laggy times when I'm not playing with them. Any ideas?
I believe this is the correct place to post this. If not I'd be happy to move to the correct forum and post this topic again.

You have to find each beacon on your own because it stays locked on to the first one (the recon helmet stuck in the screen). [Edited on 09.26.2009 10:16 AM PDT]

I had same problem you need to check you found all the mission objects as it will let you move forward to the next mission even if you have not found items from your current mission. Pain in the bum i had this problem on 4th mission it let me go to mission 5 but as soon as i done that it took me right back to the first mission i gave up on normal just went and started legendary with friends and did the whole campaign in one hit was ease as hell with 3 off you ...

I believe I figured it out. What happens is if you start on a different mission in the campaign it reverts back to finding the very first beacon, which is the recon helmet. What you have to do is find your way through New Mombasa to the point where the last mission you completed ended. In my case this was pretty much the rally point door which is the same as the firefight area. I found my way over there instead of where the Nav point was telling me to go and now I am back on track. At least I want to believe I am back on track at this moment. I'll let you know if things fall back in to place once I complete the new mission I just unlocked.

complete the game and if u quit just resume solo or you will have to do the missions again

Actually nevermind...it had my next beacon as the dang helmet again and I'm back to tayari plaza. ERR! this is really annoying and I'm fed up with this crap!!

ok so I think I may have resolved the issue...what I did was I replayed the mission I was on and on the same difficulty and it brought me to the right place I believe. Yea you play the mission you were on again in the same difficulty and it should bring you back up to speed where you left off. However I'm still going to have this firefight issue. Any ideas? I really don't believe it's my internet connection because I can play and host any other game as well as halo 3 multiplayer fine. Which leads me to believe it's my disc.

i had the mother of all glitches happen to me, doing vidmaster : deja vu and the third phantom comes in with no hunters... so we couldnt move on from that point... that sucks!

campaign is to short i think but thats my opinion the thing i hate about campaign is when youre the rookie in the city who never gets in action all you do is look for stuff and also i was helping friend doing the same levels with him and nothing happened and sometimes i get laggy during a game of firefight [Edited on 09.25.2009 11:22 PM PDT]

Also is there anybody else that is experiencing choppy/laggy segments for a period of time during firefight gameplay? Or am I the only one? Thanks.

Yea but this still sucks. Here was the scenario: I was up to/ currently playing KIZINGO BLVD. on normal difficulty. I saved it at the beginning of that mission because my friend sent me an invite to play with him on legendary on the same level. I joined him and now when I go back to resume solo game, after I finish Kizingo blvd. on my own on normal it brought me back to the beginning. It's really frustrating that you can't stop in the middle of solo play and do something else and come back to where you left off.

Yeah, it seems if you leave a game or if you save during a mission and/or go back to replay levels it thinks you haven't played anymore games. But if you have the achievements for them, you don't have to play them again. I realized that right around the fifth runthrough of the first four levels haha. But just go to VISR database and find the waypoints for the scenarios you haven't played yet. You'll get the achievements and you'll find out about the story. I'm not sure about like the validity of it thinking you beat the game or not, but whatevs. It's what I've had to do lately.

Always select continue solo campaign...never choose a mission straight from the mission select menu.

Yea it's extremely annoying and I would really like to finish the campaign. It's also really annoying when I play firefight with my friends and it gets choppy every so often. I think it may be my disc and I might have to go return it for a new one.
