Farming PvE for Jolly Holiday buckshot bruiser
Edit 2: Completed quest step with 3% from Crucible, remainder from PvE.
Method: farm any singular final mission boss at 240 light. I farmed Sardok from the Shrine of Oryx mission. You can run through most of the mission and complete it in under six minutes from the time you press "launch" to the time you return to orbit.
Each boss kill is worth 6%.
Other yellowbars are worth a little, but not enough to try to farm them IMO.
Crucible is faster. This is just an option for people who hate Crucible.

2 RepliesI just did this. Taken Knight at the beginning of the Regicide mission. Kill with shotgun, jump off. Rinse. Repeat.

Invective pvp, if you could do step one, then this should be done in 3-5 games.

Seriously man the pve route takes ages. I'm rubbish at pvp but a full auto shotgun in control and it'll just take a few matches, be super aggressive and grenade then rush. Good luck hi.

Defender Titan with no back up plans and Invective. The over shield should give you enough time to get double kills if you're running up on more than one person.

1 ReplyEdited by pinkpanda: 12/14/2015 5:44:32 PMJust play a defender Titan and use invective in control. It's amazing how many people run into your bubble. Wear a helm of Saint -14 and even if you aren't that good you'll get at least 3-4 shotgun kills a game.

1 ReplyI just finished this yesterday after using TLW during SRL (I was at 30ish % prior to SRL and hate TLW (oddball that likes First Curse) anyway - I tried to do some PVE for buckshot part and it was SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW equipped Universal Remote and another shotty and got it done in a couple games did the shield brothers with a couple randoms and just waiting for reset

Spent 3 hours in PvE with the Universal Remote and PC +1. Total = 12% Ran crucible with the same setup and I was at 96% after the first game. You can finish it in PvE but it takes a LONG time.

4 RepliesRemember the first mission on phobos? Coming war, i think. The first boss is the Word of Oryx. From what i've READ, this is where you want to farm. Just kill him, restart, kill, restart etc etc. Like i said, this is only from what i've read and not 1st hand experience. I think i'm on that stage of the quest too just havent talked to amanda holiday to get that part of the quest

I've been trudging away at that one too. Doing a couple of racks of bounties barely raised it 1%. After three days I was at 2%. Then I did the daily yesterday and today and I'm at 7%. The amount of tortured knights were high, especially yesterday (when it jumped the most) so there might be something to that. I think I might go back and replay that mission today to see if you were right.
