Honestly don't think Bungie is forced to do anything but rather planned it this way. They scrapped many meaningful aspects of Destiny in favor of the game they are delivering. Agree it may seem wasted opportunities for many of us, but majority rules and in this case, this majority is also bringing in huge revenues.
I play Destiny in small doses and for fun but I feel for the folks who take it too seriously. :(

I feel you on this, but if you're a player who has been there since the beginning and bought all the content as it came out you have to admit the company stole your money. Buy vanilla, buy dlc 1, buy dlc2 and but taken king. Add it up and cry at the wallet and have your friends laugh at you as they buy the whole game for half the price. With that said now you go to play the game test the new features and run into lag fests and cheap tricks. Not a big deal since SRL is new and not officially fully out. The slap in the face is now after being loyal loving the game grinding my ass off now I have to pay to get my records to stick. On top of all that (I laughed at him for this) my roomier gets his s class license and pulls a pink sparrow. Gotta love the frutyness. I call this payback since he got the collectors edition and payed half of what I did. Still the point is I play this game for fun not to give activities my money. I don't play wow and all the other monthly games for this reason (yes I do for gold buts Microsoft for you though) If the company feels they can get away with small stuff then they will turn their eye to larger stuff. I'm not paying for gun packages or something stupid like that. Look at the UK they now can buy 25lvl boost and subclass boost packages. I don't care if they are over seas. If the company sees they can get away with it then they will look to make more profits off your complicity. Don't let them open the flood gates please. Tell them to put the lock back on it and let the players guard the door
